This post could be two sentences long, but I like context.

I'm 35, and after 2 marriages and a kid, I've spent the last 10 months getting to know and improving myself. Daily meditation and yoga, therapy, reading, expanding my career, and taking risks. Everything I like except sex, really. A year ago, I was super insecure and ruined my marriage because of it. Today, while my confidence still needs work and I have NO game, it seems an attractive woman makes moves on me no matter where I go. There's no substitute for building your foundation and purpose.

Earlier, I went to do laundry at a laundromat that doubles as a bar, and a gorgeous woman of about 25 kept staring at me. From the first look, it was clear she was giving me "The Eyes" and she kept gazing, sometimes with a smile, other times looking me up and down. Like 2 seconds at a time for an hour. It was pretty cool, as I've never gotten googly eyes from a hot stranger before. The huge and only problem was she was on a date, seemingly a first date.

I sat on a couch reading a book not giving af, while she read me from across the room. Her date and I are about the same level, him being a bit younger and much more fit. She was clearly bored and wanted me to talk to her, but that was pretty much impossible...Plus taking someone's date isn't really part of my skill set.

Is there a daring individual here who would go for it and approach in this situation? There was basically no chance of failure, other than "sorry I'm on a date". I'm not at all in pursuit of sex or a partner, but it would have been a gigantic confidence boost to pick her up. Any advice on what to do if this happens again?
