I came across this topic before the weekend, and somewhat ironically had it thrown in my face over the weekend.

Now, in my defense, I went out with some former military friends and frankly got blasted. I would normally not do this sort of thing so loosely, but alcohol is a human lubricant, makes all our gears move a little easier. I was out at a bar, and having a good time on the dance floor. That right there says just about all you need to know, as I'm usually the last guy dancing. A couple of attractive girls came over and were dancing by me, in particular one girl kept coming over to me. I was just having fun and danced with her, but her friend kept pulling her away (and she kept coming back over).

We get to talking a little bit, she asks me if I go to the local college. I tell her no, I graduated, and she asks from where. I tell her, and she tells me her boyfriend is going to that same school (which is on the other side of the US, not like a local state university). Now, that on its own could be a shutdown, but what she says next spins that back around. She says "I guess I have a thing for guys from XYZ University" (where I went and her bf goes). To me, this is money in the bank at this point. Her friend tried her best to pull her away, but she was clearly into me and I was way too intoxicated to let her go easy.

We danced, we had fun, and I took her home. In the morning, I definitely had some regrets. I've been the guy on the other end of that, but the friends I went there with have been pretty reassuring. Even according to them, she was all over me and at the end of the day it's really not my issue if she's cheating. It's one thing to aggressively pursue a "taken" girl, it's another to just be a willing participant.
