Fuck that noise. Be the big dog. Don't let that chump stand in your way, and don't be scared off by people talking shit (a teacher of all people).
And if it turns out you're playing with fire, then get fucking burned. Better to have it all and lose it than always wonder. Trust me you'll be a lot happier.

I am not going to give you moral guidance... As long as something isn't illegal I won't tell you to avoid it.
She's clearly not happy with the current setup and with what you vae told me I know you could 'game' her quite easily. This is not the issue here, the issue is... Her intentions and the fact you are overly concerned with the thoughts of another person (even if they hold a position of power)
My two cents: I literally had a very similar experience to the above. Broke up with my long term girlfriend, started learning game, went out, got with a cute girl (HB8) turns out she has a boyfriend.
Here's where it gets interesting. I thought I really liked her, she split with her boyfriend. It very quikcly unfolded that we didn't have much in common, in fact she was very needy and depressed and we didn't gel on a lot. I broke it off with her.
Now I look back I realise that the reason the issue with her BF and her didn't really surface properly is because she was unstable and he wasn't that worried about loosing her. You've got to remember that she may be the causing factor in looking for joy elsewhere and not him and it could be possible that she is going to give you the same sour experience.
Here's my advice: 1. go for it. You don't have to feel guilty, this is her choice but if you get a NO that's when you walk away. 2. Don't let other peoples opinions of you change your behaviour unless EVERYONE is saying something. 3. Bear in mind this could be a disaster in the long but you are in this to LEARN as well as have fun so if it does all blow up in yout face, accept it, and learn from it.
Stop feelng guilty all the time, I can tell you are riddled with guilt by the way you post.
Have fun champ!
