Basically, with cold approach pickup, she needs to be physically attracted to you for your 'game' to have a chance.

If she thinks you're a greek God, you can get away with having very bad game.

If she thinks you're decent looking, but don't blow her socks off and she's not totally sold on you, having charisma/confidence/humour (GAME) can help tip the odds in your favour.

If she thinks you're ugly/you're totally not her type, all of the game in the world will be for nought. She'll either insta reject you, or she'll give you NOTHING in terms of conversation until you blow yourself out and run out of things to say, or she just leaves. She's not into you. Same as if an ugly girl tried to pick you up

I don't think it's that high. But if that's what you worry about, looks can be improved:

getting a good haircut (research and find a good barber)
dress well (understand fit and color combinations)
have a good physique (work out and eat well)
keep your face pimple-free (skin care)

It's not your fault to not have a high cheek bone, but the above are solely your responsibilities. It makes a huge difference if you take care of your physical appearance.

they say game is played on the 'maybe girls' and the 'yes girls'. It can't be played on the 'no girls'. And you not being her type makes her a 'no girl'.

No, you're wrong.

It's 80% mental - getting over your insecurities and able to be cool.

Looks fall into that 20% with things like money and other things you can be insecure about.
