You're familiar with the phrase 'dont put the pussy on a pedestal'? Well this girl to you is pretty high up on that pedestal. She's fucking floating above the thing.

I don't know you and by no means am I a master pickup artists, but if you're approaching this with the attitude of her being 'the girl of your dreams' and you've been 'friends' for 3 years, the outlook for this does not look good. Maybe it will be a good learning experience though. My advice would be to cut off contact/stop thinking about this chick and straighten up the relationship you have with yourself. Sigh. So much to learn.

By making her the girl of your dreams you're already in a bad place to be attractive to her.
Confessing your feelings to her was the wrong move. Too late to take it back now, though.
You don't ask a girl to hang out. You ask her to do awesome things with you.

My advice to you is that you sound young and in goofball crush land. This is a recipe for disaster. Focus first on yourself. Overcome your shyness. Build up your confidence and game with other women. Get over the idea that you have found your dream girl at your young age. Be more interesting than having your goal be to hang out. Develop yourself. Become awesome. Show her you are awesome. Ask her to be with you while you are being awesome.

Getting a car for the purpose of one girl is not a bright idea. This girl is the girl of your dreams…but only in your head. You will most certainly mess this up, she will tell you that she likes you as a friend and you should remain friends. Great.

Don’t waste your time chasing this girl. Go out and find other girls. Get rejected, get heart-broken and gain experience. It will be a journey with its ups and downs. But 3 years from now, you’re gonna look back at that girl and realize that she WASN’T the girl of your dreams. It’s at this time that you’ll know you have what it takes to get her – but you won’t want her anymore.
