This usually only happens when me & a buddy are under the influence, but we tend to try and game 30+ aged women (I'm 24 and he is 25), which is no problem for us, but we usually can't tell they are that old until they tell us(no, we DON'T ask, they bring it up)

Now, me personally, I don't feel the need to learn ages in a first interaction, but for whatever reason, it has come up quite often lately and it is usually after we have attempted to close the set (disclaimer: my buddy looks not a day older than 19, he gets carded EVERYWHERE) so before this last weekend I thought it was just because of him.

But this past weekend I was talking to a girl for a good 3 or 4 minutes and she was very receptive towards my advances, UNTIL I go to ask for her number and she goes "how old are you?" My AFC'ness kicks in and I answer "24". She then goes on to tell me she thinks I'm too young, as she is 32.

I don't want to make this just about that situation because it has happened quite often (disclaimer: I often get told I look 26-30). So my question to you guys is how do you handle this question? Since I clearly can't tell a 24 yr old from a 32 yr old when wearing beer goggles. How do I avoid qualifying myself and sidestep the question to make it more fun, and just brush the question off.

I get the final point: She's not interested/attracted, which is fine. Because let's be honest - if she was she wouldn't use that excuse (imo anyway), but what bothers me is that she gets to be let off the hook by using my age against me.

How do/would you guys handle this?
