Have had it several times in the past where I had to call a women or just happened to run into an old co-worker for
something non-seduction related, but after doing or saying whatever I had to they would respond with a line such
as the one in the heading. My responses are something along the lines of "nah, that was all." or similar.
I, being an INTJ, might have been closer to clueless on what was expected of me and the only reason I would give
it a second thought is because the conversations and relationship immediately following end; at least in the
capacity they were.
I have many a time received the follow-up 'I'm-not-going-to-look-at-you-or-talk-to-because-you-rejected-me'
treatment from many women and my naiveness and insensitivity prevent me -- usually -- from realizing what it is I
DIDN'T DO.
What are they expecting exactly?
Being as I am, I would have no issue being blunter than a brick wall. Lacking any suave and shooting down all
chances -- probably.
What does one say in response to such a question to flag a positive response? What do you folks say in that
situation?
P.S. I should mention that I do not lack in confidence in any way. I know what I do well and what I don't and stick to my guns. It is both my biggest compliment and my most negative critique.
UPDATE*************************************************************************************
I thank everyone for the responses, however, I feel that we may be getting a bit sidetracked with the whole MBTI thing. I had simply posted it to summarize my thinking manner and give an idea of my personality. I'm a highly logical, rational, methodical person; think Data from Star Trek: TNG. I've been told by people that I remind them of him. The whole anything contrary to critical -- or what I call honest -- thinking is absurd to me and doesn't register very well. I'll overthink something that someone else would otherwise jump right off of with some high value emotional response. The situations occur when I'm not in the pickup mode and unable to just 'turn it on' at that moment. I usually need to mentally prep my behavior for pickup, hence why my responses are straight honest ones. I guess what I'm asking is for feedback on the mindset of jumping into one of these situations where I wasn't going to pickup, but was given the opportunity.
