In "Models" by Mark Manson, he says we should be invested in ourselves... I know it means that our own perception and opinions matter more than others'. But how can we get more invested in ourselves when many things we do is to change our perception to others. I mean they can overlap, we try to improve ourselves so that we are better perceived by others.
