I'm sitting in a bar with guys from work. I had warmed up talking to a guy next to me at the bar. Do this, gentlemen. It gets your social skills working.

At some point, I walk up to girl sitting by herself and sit down. HB5. I talk to her for a bit, about her asshole boyfriend, etc. I talk to her for a bit, then leave.

HB9 walks up to the bar and sits down on the other side of my friends. I walk over and sit next to her. (I maintained strong eye contact and powerful body language throughout the interaction. It's also good to have a strong, loud tone, but be friendly and smile/smirk, of course)

Me: Hey what's up HB9: Just getting a drink and then going outside (So I know I don't have a lot of time)

I ask about what she's doing, she tells me about what she's studying, and I tease her about it and act like she's aspiring to something illegal, which she jokingly agrees to. We talk a little bit more.

Me: So you're really cute, we should go on a date, put your number in my phone She does, guy walks up asks if she's coming outside (maybe he thought she was going to stay with me lol) She says yeah (she has her drink at this point)

I soon leave the bar. About 15 minutes later, I text her saying it was great meeting her and tease her more about her hypothetical illegal activities, which she jokes back about and also says it was nice meeting me (I send this text within an hour of meeting someone so they remember who I am)

I send her a text the next day, around 4, teasing about the same joke and asking her when she's free this week. She tells me when she's available. I ask her if she would like date idea 1 or 2 better (sidebar: ABOVE THE GAME pt. 2 Action item #5, which all of you need to do. Make a list of 25+ date ideas that are fun. You should also read the guide in its entirety) I say Let's meet at 'venue x' at 'this time.' (Two days from this conversation) HB9: Sounds good!!
