I really want to find a girlfriend and to do that I need to approach girls. Which I suck at.

Background about me, I'm 25, I'm a foreigner in Russia, I speak Russian at about an intermediate level. I've been here for a year and a half and I've been single for 6 months though I've had a few dates since. Most amount to nothing after a few meetings.

All my previous dates and relationships were through online dating. I'm giving up on it, tinder, okcupid etc., because people always look different in real life and it's hard to gauge a person without having met them first. Sometimes you can be lucky, but most of the time I'm not.

I work a lot and would never date a colleague (as a rule), my spare time is spent boxing so no girls there either.

I think my best bet would be to approach out in public. But I'm a big wimp for some reason, even though my job is talking to people and my sport is tough as heck.

I'm going to try to do more approaches this week and I'm creating this thread to try and be held accountable and to make sure I actually go out and do it. I'll update with my progress.
