I had been talking to a girl for about 2 months. We were fairly casual. We both knew we were talking to other people. We had grown to like each other. We both admitted it. We had about 2 dates.

The second date went well. Hand holding, laughter, kissing. We were supposed to see each other the next day. She didn't. She messaged me and said one of the guys she was talking to asked to be her boyfriend so she said okay.

Fair enough. Maybe there is a guy better than me. That suits her. Except here's what makes it the worst rejection I've ever faced; she's never met him. Their entire relationship has been online. They only talk through skype.

She told me more about him. He's racist (she doesn't like that), he's immature, she sometimes feels like his mom. He is clingy and needy. There is about a 10 hour timezone difference between them and he gets upset if she doesn't message him. If she changed her profile pic of them, he accuses her of cheating. They have only been dating for 2 weeks and he already plans on moving here and marrying her. Even told his mom.

To me, it's just like shocking. This guy that she never met before. A guy on a screen was able to build a better connection than me.

That's why it bothers me. I also believe they are both crazy. But I'm moreso bothered that I wasn't good enough. I'm having a hard time letting go of this. Especially after she told me more about him and their relationship. Life and dating are weird.
