You absolutely do not NEED social media. It is helpful if you have a lot of friends, followers, likes, etc. for social proof. However, if your account is dead, you rarely post/tweet interesting pics/content, have very few followers, you're better off not having it.

As young guy im trying to taper my use of social media down to almost zero. It can work pretty well in raising your smv, if used correctly, by showing the world that ylu lift, look good, travel etc. But once you have build it enough, quit social media. You will always be a mysterious guy to people after that

You don't really meet women on Facebook. You meet them on Tinder.

Facebook and other social media sites are fine for keeping in touch with people you already know, but you can do the same with text messages.

Im a few years younger and i never got on board the snap/insta train and i've been curious about this too. Many of the chicks i know ask if i have instagram or snap and they always have a sad look when i say no -is this how chicks try to "get your number" now in a sense, since its a more vague way of asking for a way to text you? I've been thinking about deleting my facebook and all posts i have too before i swap it to a fake email and delete the enail and facebook. App is already off my phone so I'm just curious if I'm setting myself up for a disconnect...

Im 32 too. Im on facebook and in certain local groups like "new in [enter city]". when discuss in a thread something, you can private message the chicks there to follow up on the discussion. its maybe a good way for you to get in the women game again. other than that, forget it...do cold approach, tinder game, whatever. you can be the straight no social media bullshit guy without facebook and stuff

EDIT: what I just recalled: when you get in touch with a girl and the vibe is not the best, maybe not good enough to ask for her number, you can ask for her facebook. Its not as private as a number and she is more likely to give it to you. Questianable how much you will bet out of this but its something to consider.

Im a little over half your age and I can pull wo it. If you're not interested in what other people are doing you don't need it.

I have an SC but my Snapscore is still double digits because I only use it to promote my music. I never use any of it to negotiate attraction. Bitches are in a logic state when you text.

Do you need social media to get laid? no.

Is social media a good tool to helping get laid? yes, but like any other tool you need to know how to use it.

But more than that, social media is part of today's modern world; having one and knowing how to use it will help you way beyond just banging women, it can help you connect and build an image for yourself. Social media isn't the demon a lot of redditors make it seem, the only problem is that some people overuse it or try to replace real social interactions with it.

You are cracking me up with the 'lots of effort' thing. Social media takes little to no effort. Most things you can upload directly from your phone so it's literally always with you, has auto features up the butt and is very helpful for setting up dates etc.

The effort is in friending people on instagram facebook or snapchat so that you can get the information you need and get in contact with them later.

That's all. Don't make it anymore work than that. Certainly turn them on.

Don't give shitty little statements or repost shitty memes, just post some photos of you wherever you go and enjoy yourself, you with friends, you with family and leave it at that, don't cruise people's walls and chat with them or like a bunch of shit. Just post now and then. Add women you talk to in person, hit them up for dates and leave it at that.
