Moved to a new city and don't know anyone..Should I fix this before even approaching?

Nope, that's your way in. "I just moved to the city I'm trying to meet new people" bam! you just met her" You repeat this process with both men and women that you would classify as good friends. Then, you meet their friends and their friend's friends'. And you keep meeting people with good intentions, because you enjoy it. The more people you know the better you will feel about yourself because you have big social life.

Social proof is not some growth that just happens to some people. You make your own social proof. Talk to everyone, and genuinely try to be friends with the people you find interesting.

I"ve had two friends in my life that had few guy friends, but dated and was friends with tons of women. In the meantime. Checkout meetup.com. It's the absolute best way to make friends, and there might even be a PUA group in your area.

You can create social proof where ever you go just by talking to a bunch of people. It still helps a ton to have a social circle or a few friends though. I'm okay at the former, terrible at the latter.

I recently moved to a new school. I have ADD so I can start a conversation with a totally random question and then say "Oh sorry I'm ADD to the max so I'm just all over the place..." and then ask your question again.

I usually ask " Hey how much do you guys like oreos on a scale of 1-10?" If they say 10 I say awesome! (If it's a girl say this part next but jokingly or else you'll just offend her.) So I would say "Awesome you like oreos too! We're gonna be best friends and then we're gonna go out, break up and take a break, go out again, fall in love, get married and live happily ever after. Oh but you like oreos so you're gonna get fat and we're gonna have to get a divorce." Say stuff like that to girls but try to make some friends before you approach just so it looks like you have options and friends.
