I'll be blunt. If this is an accurate description of yourself then he's interested. Seriously, it's that simple. A single man is very unlikely not to want to at least go on one date with an attractive young woman. If you're an attractive women, you don't need to look for IOIs. Assume attraction on his part.

Ideally, just ask him out on a date. If you're too shy, keep hinting at it by saying stuff like, "I really want to try this new Italian restaurant, but can't find anyone to go with".

If all else fails get a college of yours to approach the guy for you and flat out ask him if he wants to date you, saying you'd like to date him. Worst case scenario is that he's really flattered.

Return all the gestures he makes. Respond to kino with kino, eye contact with more eye contact. When he says something funny, laugh and lean into him. Mirroring (subtly) is a bit indicator of interest and even guys who don't know anything about seduction should recognize it.

If he's really shy, you could step it up a notch, and ask him what he's doing later that night or on the weekend, and if it's something that sounds like fun, say, "Oh, that sounds like a lot of fun." He may respond with, "Do you want to come?" or "You should join me." If it's something that is boring, like going home, you could ask him out for drinks or something. If you're afraid of rejection, too, you could make it a group thing with a couple of other co-workers.

The only time I hooked up with someone from work, she chatted me up at a going away party for one of our co-workers and I caught the hint soon after and asked her out next time our paths crossed at work. She definitely had to be pretty clear about her attraction (I was a kid, though...by the time a guy has reached his mid-to-late 30s, he ought to at least recognize attraction, even if he has no idea what to do with it).

Prepare a conversation which in 5-10 minutes leads to some activity which he can invite you to. For example, start talking about clothes or food, then discuss specific shops/cafes, then let him invite you out.

Never invite him out, he's older and you don't want to appear desperate. He knows what he's doing, so once you have a date (even if it's not a formal date but just an excuse to be together) let him lead.

Keep in mind that it is always nerve-wracking and scary for a man to ask out a woman, no matter how confident and secure he is. Also, this is just my opinion, but it seems like you wanting to be asked out by him is mostly about you wanting to be validated by him. If you want to have an actual relationship with him, and not just be validated, you've got to share with him who are you so that you can be known. You don't necessarily have to tell him "I want you to ask me out", although you could. But at least you need to express something about how you feel about him. Give him a really genuine compliment that involves sharing how you feel, for example "I'm always glad when you're here working with me because it's so much fun." You don't have to go over the top and exaggerate for effect, nor do you have to hold back on anything. Just say it like it is. For you this should be easier than for men because in general you're going to be more aware of your emotions than men are. And you don't have to say it like you're revealing a secret, or wait until just the right time, just let it out whenever it comes to mind without holding back.

His interest is not what's important. What's important is your interest and how you feel. And try to gauge whether this is a fantasy, or whether going out with someone at your office is actually something you really want to do.
