First post in seddit. Long time lurker, and this is an alt account for seddit. I want to post somewhere to chronicle my journey and have an outlet and want something a bit more interactive than a journal. I’ve read The Game, some of mystery’s stuff, Juggler, listened to some podcasts, read way too much ‘theory’. I’m a keyboard jockey for the last year or two. It helped me in a professional way big time, but not romantically.

Background = shy timid anime/computer geek nerd throughout high school and just stayed at home to watch anime, played games etc. 2 years ago, I realized I needed a change and worked on all aspects of my life. Went on exchange. Got really involved in school, led a student society. Met lots of people. Developed great social skills.

If you were to meet me now today you would think that I really have my stuff together and very successful. I’m fit, I’m not bad looking, meeting new friends and having coffee with business professionals is not an issue. Have a cool job in the internet marketing industry. Graduating with a business degree. I’m artistic. I’m a pretty interesting guy according to most of my friends since I do a lot of things and pretty well connected. More than half my friends are women. Hang out with attractive female friends on a frequent basis. I’m a great FRIEND. I’m also possibly one of the most AFC people you’ll ever meet. I have literally zero game since I treat everybody like a friend.

goal - i like relationships. i'm not here just for picking up and banging. i like meaningful things. ultimately i want to be able to command my own life and meet the women i want to meet whenever.

Romantic history – 24, virgin. No girlfriend. Never been kissed. Somewhat broken inside when it comes to romantic relationships. Looking back, really only asked out two girls when I hardcore put myself in the friend zone. I was CRUSHED. I don’t think I ever really recovered back from that. Somewhat feel like I’m not good enough, but I know that’s just stuff I’m saying in my head. got over a huge bout of oneitis recently. I don't want to be AFC anymore.

Realized I need to do something about it. So I’m really trying to do something about it. Was trying to do style life challenge, dropped off on day five. The exercises weren’t really hard to do since I’m not really an awkward person who hasn’t spoken to people in ages. Recently listened to quazzy’s David Wygant two talks and really changed my perspective. I’ll just develop the most natural direct game I can by being genuine and talking to random strangers as much as you can. I can’t do routines at all.

Anyway, a field report:

  • Two days ago, needed financial backing for my visa for travel. Went to the bank to get it done. Cute little asian girl teller and I had a mutual friend. Small talked several times before, but never had any intention to escalate anything. Anyway, she said it would cost $15 and I was like whaaaa. She ended up waiving the fee and I went on my merry way. Before I left I genuinely wanted to thank her to for waiving it, and got her number (history in the making there).
  • Texted next day, but no reply probably because it was from an unknown number
  • Went the consulate the day after got everything done.
  • Meant to call her on my cellphone today but left it at home
  • Called her on my work phone expecting to leave a VM @ lunch. 4 rings later she actually picked up. I stammered since that caught me off guard and sounded like a complete idiot. Possibly the most unsmooth, most incoherent phonecall ever.
o “hey this is me” o “haha oh Hey” o “just wanted to see if you were up for that coffee” (sounded terrible there and just snowballed downwards from there) o “I’m having lunch” o “oh okay, just phone me back at this number if you wanted it” o “uh okay see ya!”
  • Best part is… I was calling from my work phone! I didn’t leave a number or my extension number
  • So many problems there. I probably would’ve done fine in a real life situation. I guess I need to talk to strangers more!

Kudos to myself for doing this though. Not expecting this coffee to happen.

Love to hear any tips for somebody starting out.
