Went on a date last weekend, and should have kissed her, but got anxious and settled on some weird upper-arm stroking thing after a long, tight hug (I figured..."hey, at least it's an IOI"). Not getting a kiss on the first date may not be that big of a deal, but... we dated over a year ago and never did anything. Her friend said I confused her; that she was waiting for me to make a move. I have big problems with initiating kino and kissing... I've never been a touchy guy.

That night, I invited her over to my house for cocktails tomorrow (another IOI imo, but she may not think I'm serious at this point). Her friend says I need to kiss her as soon as I greet her at the door... even if it's just a quick lip-to-lip "greeting" peck... just to break that "barrier". What do you guys think? I need to physically go 0 to 60 really quickly bacause, raport-wise, I think we're solid... but the lack of escalation has been really pathetic.
