When they call you mean are they smiling? Is it a passing thing or do they sit you down and talk about how they really don't appreciate how you act?

There's a difference between "oh you're so mean!" and "I need to talk to you about some of the mean things you've been saying and how I don't appreciate it at all."

This can be tricky, as once you've crossed the line, it's hard to go back. You shift a ton of value to her and away from yourself and look needy trying to get things back to normal (learned the hard way on this one).

The teasing is almost all in the tone you maintain during the delivery. I just started checking out Tyler Durden's RSD Blueprint Decoded at the recommendation of someone else on here and there's a part where he says "The real self always comes through." Basically he's saying that regardless of what you say, the personality you have cultivated, either knowingly or unknowingly, is the majority of what's communicated - much more inner-game oriented, but still pertinent here I think.
