Think about it. The number 1 reason to not get married is the family courts. A marriage license is a license for the government to redistribute your income and assets and children at a later date as they see fit, and local county family courts are hostile to men. 1. Do you want to pay someone Alimony for life after just 10 years of marriage in some states? 20 in others?
2. You're liable for child support on a cheating wife's baby or kids from her prior marriage.

4. f you earn VASTLY more than your partner and they are dependent they can separate and acquire your resources without need of continued association. (Less common permanently, still common short term)
If you had more than your partner coming into a relationship and used those assets in support of that relationship those assets may be considered shared property.
If children are involved and divorce occurs you have less control of personal assets that will be divided, and therefore less control of how you will be viewed if courts become involved for custody and visitation.
1. If children are involved, your partner is dependent, and you earn VASTLY more than your partner you may be responsible for them all even after legally enforced separation. (Restraining order, limited and conditional visitation, unenforceable visitation “rights” because one partner isn't a primary custodian)
If children are involved and have health issues or need help you may be prohibited from contacting or seeing them and then punished for being a good parent. See 15.
If the reason for a divorce is paternity fraud you are not legally entitled to reimbursement, your marital assets will still be divided (further cuckoldry), and you most likely will be legally liable for child support of a child that isn't yours.
If you have children from a previous relationship, or dependents solely reliant on you, that will not factor into the division of marital assets.
If your partner adopts your child(ren) from previous relations you may have to pay their non-biological parent to take care of them with limited or no visitation. (See 15, 16, 17)
