Curious as to what your attitude is towards wardrobe when going out to pick up and on dates. Specifically have you had marked differences in results with certain outfits/accessories etc?

I've had better results since I started dressing down. When I go out, or go on a date, it's almost always just t-shirt with jeans/nice shoes or shorts/flip-flops (in summer). No accessories. If I'm going to a more upscale event/place (rare), I'll wear a nicer button-down. I have noticed that I get "noticed" a lot more when I wear bright yellow or red t-shirts, so I tend to wear those when I'm really looking to pick up, and they definitely work. I guess that counts as extremely mild peacocking since most people are wearing dark, boring colors :)

Disclaimer: the town I live in, and the places I frequent, are very casual. No dress code at almost any bar/club/restaurant in town. 80%+ of guys in the bars I frequent are wearing t-shirts.
