I originally posted this in r/relationships, but I thought I might also get some good advice here.

I'm a 22y/o male who was until recently, very "forever alone". I was too unconfident and scared of rejection to ask a girl out, had mostly male friends... Basically typical reddit user stereotype.

Earlier this year, I made the decision to get off my ass and do something about being "forever alone". I slowly began talking to people I didn't know, developing social self-confidence and working on not giving a fuck about what other people thought of me, all with the goal of eventually getting a girl-friend, in line with some of the noob adice from this subreddit.

Recently it paid off. I started talking to a girl on the bus to work, and we hit it off, and talked for the entire trip. I ended up getting her number and as a friend on facebook. I asked her out via text and she agreed. We're getting drinks together later this week. She is near the same age as me, also early 20s if it matters.

The problem is that this will be the frist date I've ever been on in my life. I'm worried that I have no idea what to do, say and how to act. I'm coming at this as a learning experience, which might go wrong, but I would still like to give this my best shot. Please give any advice that you think will help.

TLDR: Was antisocial loner, broke out of mold and asked girl on date. Never been on a date before and looking for advice, thanks.
