This month I moved to Latin America after graduating from university in the US. My family is from here, so I have command of the local language and culture.

I still have a tiny bit of a gringo accent and definitely have the gringo look (ie I don't have a fucking mullet and dress like a goddamned hippie/waso/50y-o businessman/wanna-be gangster), which has helped quite a lot.

I find, however, the guys I've been chilling with are fucking SHAMELESS. They are constantly accosting pretty women as they walk past with stupid-ass comments and supplication. It rarely works, and I find women tend to be scared away far more often than not. HOWEVER it seems that they've opened for me, and I don't look desperate or over-eager. I've managed to pull a good number of girls just by keeping my cool, not supplicating, and using disqualifiers and DHVs. (be the exception, right?). But this isn't quite netting me the results I want.

I'd rather avoid gaming alone in relatively unfamiliar territory, and I also feel like my friends' stupidity offers me excellent opportunities to contrast myself with them. I feel there are opportunities to be had in this kind of dynamic, but I'm not 100% sure how to handle it.

Anyone have some suggestions?
