I can give a female perspective on this... Don't do it.

The first cancellation could be legitimate or her not being sure of her interest anymore. Either way, when you respond as you did, it comes across as overly eager. I would suggest telling her it's too bad that she's going to miss out, and that maybe you will invite her some other time... She will either respond with when she is free (if she is really interested) or you can wait to contact her for a while and then invite her along to something fun.

Letting her pick which day not only reveals you don't have much going on in your schedule but also seems beta IMO. I'd work on other things and if she contacts you great, if not you couldn't care less.

Well you totally tipped your hand that the "Tues or Fri" was basically a false constraint. That's a big mistake, this one is probably a lost cause.

You should have responded something like "alright workaholic, text me when you're open." Then wait until at least after friday, if she doesn't give you a text (which is likely regardless of whether she's available), you ask her out for 2 days from then.

I don't think you fucked anything up, seeing as you're both long time friends, but you did come off too eager. The next time you are out, tell her to come meet you. Don't ask. Don't text it either. Call her up. If you can't muster the balls for a call, then text her. Just don't double text, wait for her response. Then when you do meet, escalate kino and go from there. Good luck.
