Often you can figure out a girl's age by her stories, (eg, if she's a lawyer then she must be old enough to have gotten her degree, etc.) And she can figure out your age, too.

But when you don't know much about her, this always works: When she asks how old you are, tell her to guess. Whatever she guesses is how old she wants you to be.

If you look older than her, she'll guess 2-3 years her elder. If she's afraid that you're too young for her, she'll guess maybe 1-2 years younger than her.

If she's way off then you can consider lying or not but be careful with that.

Examples:

  • If you look 25 and she guessed 30, don't be insulted! She's 31-32 and she's hoping that you're not too young for her.
  • If you look 30 and she guessed 25, she's 23.
