Should you tell one girl that you have a date with another girl?

I personally don't play those games, I don't think you have much to gain and you risk getting into crazy jealous girl territory. I'll let my girls know that I'm not exclusive and seeing other people, but never specifics. If I have a date set up I'll just say "I'm meeting a friend" or "I've got plans". If I bump into a girl I'm seeing while I'm out with another girl, I'll just introduce them like I would any other friends. Not a big deal if you are cool about it.

When people know their is competition they are more pressured to make a decision. If you are thinking buying something that there is only one of you are much more likely to try and secure the purchase quickly and at the asking price if you know you could loose it if you don't. Basically it takes all the power from the buyer. In the absence of competition in their mind you need them and its their decision. With the knowledge that someone else might buy puts the pressure is now on the buyer because if they do not secure the purchase quickly they might lose it.

In general even if you're playing the DHV angle, it's much better to let her find out than to tell her outright.

I'd say the way to play it is just to say "ah sorry, I'm busy on Thursday. How about _____?"

If she presses you later about what you did on Thursday you can tell her you were with a friend but let some little detail slip to suggest it was a date. That way you get the DHV plus plausible deniability.

I would probably say that you're busy. I think in our head the idea of telling her you have a date with girl A sounds like you're high in demand, and she's gotta fight for you, But I think it's somewhat dangerous to go that route because she may just be turned off by it. It really depends on the type of girl she is.

I would just pick another date for when you're free, try something like a tuesday or wednesday on the next week. I'd avoid the weekend. Make it appear as she has to earn the weekend nights because those are always too busy for you.

Of course, someone else may have completely different opinion than me.

Just say you've got plans.

This problem never occurs to me because whenever I have plans with only one person, I call it a date, no matter if it's a real date or an old friend or whatever.

No explanation. Just suggest a night that works for you. Period. When you offer explanations it sets the tone of giving explanations for the future. Right now you owe her nothing (and she owes you nothing). Just ask her out for a night that's convenient for you and make no comments otherwise.
