Looking back now, I realized I made A LOT of mistakes. The whole date was uneventful and awkward all the way through. (Note: This was both our first time)

So first of all, I asked a girl that I've known for a while, "Would you go out with me?" This was over the phone, therefore she said she'll get back to me. About 6 hours later, she was unsure, but agreed anyways. We decided to go watch a movie, which was probably not the best decision now that I think about it.

We met up about two hours early, so that we can explore around the cinema. She came a little late, so I bought the ticket for her. When she came, we went to go get pizza for lunch. While we were eating, we tried a conversation going, but they all turned out awkward. Each conversation only lasted about 30 seconds before the awkward silence, and then we change the topic. A couple times, she whips out her phone and starts texting. I didn't say anything about this and continued eating my pizza. After lunch, she asked, "Where do you want to go next?" My mind blanked and I didn't know what to say for no apparent reason. She then suggested going into Best Buy and I agreed.

At Best Buy, things started to flow, we talked about our favorite music, tried out some of the cameras, etc. Then again she asked "Ok, now where?" AND AGAIN my mind blanked. "I don't know." We ended up going to a book store. Most of the conversations there was just "Have you read this?" "Oh, this book is pretty good," dull stuff.

In the theater, we were deciding which seats to pick for the movie. I let her choose, right now I realized I did not do anything for myself, I just let her make all the decisions. As expected throughout the movie, we didn't really say anything. Even afterward, we didn't talk much. She whipped out her phone again, and I played some games at the arcade when I knew nothing was going to happen. Yup, what a first date...
