Tofu, big respect as always, but you also disappointed me in this post (for this first time ever). In general, I think guys you and Tyler and Mayson really stand apart from a lot of mainstream/old school pickup as far as treating people with respect, giving value, and generally not being a dick. Which is why it was a little jarring to see you write stuff like this: so she stuck to dyking out with the girls. Girls' logic doesn't always make sense lol. I know you already know this, but just to mak…

Thanks, I appreciate that. Yeah, that maybe came across as jarring, but I wouldn't say it quite that way. Also, the circles we run in are really counter-cultural (her even more than me), to the extent that I'd actually be slightly surprised if she was OK with monogamy, even if I wanted it. I'm not assuming anything, but I'd be willing to bet someone $50 that the nonmonogamy thing is a total nonissue. The vibe I get from her is sort of like, I can imagine her having had unreciprocated crushes, or…

Thanks – I didn't expect so many haters in this thread :) Do you expect to actually change the nature and expectations of your relationship with her? Yes. Currently, we: see each other only incidentally, when we happen to be nearby text once a week or so call once a month or so have no labels (don't knock labels completely, they're something) Instead, I'd like to: see each other every 3-4 weeks talk a couple times a week text many times a week have the bf/gf label I mean, I could just start call…

I've been subbed to r/polyamory for ages, but thanks. I realize it's tough, having done this before. But a monogamous LDR is even tougher, to the point of being a nonstarter.

Look, if open relationships aren't your thing, that's fine – everyone has their own relationship styles. But don't go making assumptions and statements that aren't true, about something you apparently don't understand very well. An open relationship and a FWB are totally different. An open relationship (which generally means a primary poly relationship) says, "You're the most important person in my life (romantically)." It says, "I plan to stay with you for the forseeable future." It opens the d…

That's why I said you can still get a girl if you're outside her "official" age range, much of the time. But that doesn't mean it's always BS. I've seen profiles where girls actually emphasized in their profile blurbs not to bother if you're over X age. My point isn't that age is a liability. It's not, most of the time for most girls. My point is that "across the board, chicks dig older guys" is an overstatement. Most != all.
/r/seduction22/08/11 03:05 AM
2

I disagree. Sure, lots of girls dig older guys, but some girls aren't into older guys, or are only into guys that are some small number of years older. I've seen plenty of OKC profiles where, say, a 25-year-old girl will say she's looking for someone 24-30. Great if you're in your late 20s, but not so great if you're over 35. That said, could a 40-year-old attract that girl despite her official/conscious preferences? Sure, if he's got game.

Didn't have as much in common with her (can't do much about that, of course), seemed a little needy, kept forgetting her name... Meanwhile, we were having great conversations, I was touching her arm/back here and there, I had a good rhythm of talking to her vs. talking to other people, and I wasn't trying as hard.

Dude, get off your high horse. Personally, I don't feel good about actively hitting on girls who I know have boyfriends. But I do feel OK with rolling with it if a girl with a bf is taking the initiative to hit on me (see recent FR). People commenting are sort of right though, that you can't be mad or surprised when your girlfriend cheats on you. On one level you can be mad, but on another level you have to realize that you have to keep your woman satisfied, and if you don't she's going to get h…

Uh, I'm not sure we're actually saying the same thing. What I'm saying is the term pickup (artist) has different meanings. Some associate it with old school canned material, others understand it more broadly to include newer, more natural approaches as well. You're saying pickup has different uses. Some use it to get laid more, others use it to get into an LTR. Which is also true. Though IMHO you should have a period where you bang 100 chicks for the practice before you settle down into an LTR, …

Agreed, but nota bene: "PUA" means different things to different people. I don't consider myself a "pickup artist," but I do "pick up" girls, and I see both the gimmicky, routine-based style of pickup and the natural, inner-game based style of pickup as different species of the same genus; namely, pickup/seduction/attraction. So I don't see myself struggling between my AFC self and my "pickup" self. I see myself struggling between my AFC self, the tendency to portray a front via canned lines, an…

You misunderstand. I'm saying the bigger problem most people have is not kinoing enough, so getting used to touching people – even if it's creepy or awkward for some period of weeks/months – is probably a good thing, because it gives you experience to know the difference. No kino > awkward kino > natural kino. Put another way, OP is giving good advice to intermediates, bad advice for beginners.

Yeah, having options means sleeping with multiple women, or at least knowing you could on short notice. (If I were in a monogamous relationship, for example – not that I think I ever will be – I would still do approaches, get phone numbers, and even have platonic dates, to keep my options open and my skills sharp.) Cheating is bullshit, as far as I'm concerned. You shouldn't need to be dishonest to get laid, especially when more and more women are open to NSA sex, FWB situations, or open relatio…

Dude. Your thinking is completely messed up here. I know you say you're not prejudiced, but I think there is some residual prejudice going on if you felt so bummed, and if you think there's a disjunct between being a "sexy and cool guy" and being "gay." Plenty of girls find gay guys sexy, cool, and attractive. In some cases, even to the point of uselessly following them around, irrationally hoping they'll change their orientation somehow. So a girl thinking you're gay probably says very little a…

So here's how the LMR went down. We go from making out to taking off clothes over some span of time, and the whole time she has this kind of intense, almost scared look on her face. Smiles at points, but it seems like this is her default sex face. I wondered if it might mean sex is an intense experience for her, rather than primarily a fun experience, if that makes sense. (She's also early/mid 20s.) Also, she was a bit inhibited, but not completely. At the beginning she was a little bit starfish…

Another way of putting the point of the post (and your point) is basically that passive IOIs like compliance are still IOIs. You're right though that looking for IOIs is bad game though. I haven't heard that one, but it does smell a little game-y to me, so maybe your hunch is right. FTR, many people in the seduction/etc. community deprecate using canned lines like that in favor of more natural ways of generating attraction. It sounds like this guy was pretty lame, don't let that color your impression of the whole scene.
/r/seduction16/07/11 11:01 PM

I get it, dude was persistent and trying to pick her up – I guess I'm just talking terminology here. I wouldn't call a guy a pickup artist unless he's actually studied this stuff. Maybe he has, or maybe he hasn't. It's hard to tell, unless the person uses a well-known line that someone wouldn't normally come up with themselves. "I need a female opinion, is David Bowie hot?" is a dead giveaway, for example.

So... you're saying he's a Pilot who Understands Accounting? I'm not seeing the connection here. Sure, maybe the pilot thing was bullshit, but that doesn't mean he's a PUA, it just would mean he lies. There are bullshitters and nonbullshitters among both PUAs and non-PUAs. (And among guys who study seduction but don't identify as a PUA.)

A big part of "inner game" is realizing that you have value all by yourself, regardless of how much pickup theory you have prepared (or how tall you are, how much money you make, etc.). So as tempted as I am to read Seddit/etc. prior to going out, beyond a certain point it's a bad idea, because it gets you in your head and in "I'm not enough, I need something external to succeed" mode. I wasn't there, but my guess is that you felt like you needed something from her (if you've "liked her forever"…

Point by point: Honestly. The quality of women on there will nearly always disappoint. Yes and no. I find the girls more interesting, but less hot, and often (though not always) less hot than their photos. Increasingly I'm factoring that in when messaging/replying to people. I don't support online dating, it's a crutch. If you do it exclusively (as I was in the spring), yes. But it's a great supplement to going out, especially if you're into nerdy/etc. girls who don't club. Ability to get qualit…

FTR, I'm a 2 on the Kinsey scale, which means I pick "bi" when forced to choose between three orientation options (ugh). I think it's like any other perceived "problem" like shortness or ugliness – how you let it limit you subjectively is a much bigger deal than how it limits you objectively. Own it. If some close-minded girl doesn't like it, who gives a shit?

Right, but she also answered a question saying, "As far as you're concerned, you'll probably have sex in __ dates" with the "1-2" option. Somewhat of a taboo subject in this /r/ What's taboo about it? There's nothing taboo about being a married man trying to keep his wife hot, or re-seduce her after a dry spell. I mean, for us young guys who are still single, getting monogamously hitched may be slightly taboo/controversial, but regardless, "married game" is totally a valid and welcome topic here.

Should you be more assertive? Probably. But I don't think being perceived as possibly gay is a problem – it probably helps you more than it hurts you, at least with many women (i.e. the ones who aren't into the sort of bros you describe). By the way, for future reference, r/askseddit is the place for questions like this.

What's surprising is when a guy with game voluntarily gives up his freedom to meet new girls. Polyamory is just one way of maintaining that freedom; hooking up is another. Polyamory may be uncommon, but it follows pretty naturally when you (a) don't want to give up your freedom but (b) still want deep/long term relationships. Both of which are pretty common drives.
/r/seduction11/07/11 04:43 AM

Do you see yourself in an open or poly relationship at some point down the road? Absolutely. Here's how I see it: Jealousy is a natural reaction, but I think transcending it is a noble and attainable goal. I'd rather put up with whatever residual amount of jealousy I can't get rid of than give up my freedom to see new girls if I want to. In practice, most guys have no game, so I don't worry that much about the competition. I think my gf (and yours) would end up dabbling a bit with other guys, an…

I'm not sure I understand the question. Who gives a shit about being in the majority/minority? People who study game are already a minority of guys, and hot girls are already a minority of girls, so what exactly is the point? Re: polyamory, I don't know, it seems pretty common among even vaguely leftist, crunchy, and otherwise countercultural circles.

Because he might not like the idea of his girlfriend fucking other dudes? Some people are down with that, some aren't. Which is totally fine if that's how he feels. What I was objecting to was your presumption that monogamy and hookups are the only two relationship styles possible.
/r/seduction11/07/11 12:10 AM

Dude, it's not black and white. There are more than two forms of relationships in the world, beyond monogomous (what I think you meant by "legitimate) LTRs vs. hookups. Check out r/polyamory, it's full of people who have committed, meaningful LTRs without the exclusivity part. I don't see why a dude would want to have a monogamous LTR when he could have an LTR (or several) with more freedom.

Love your FRs, man. Glad you haven't totally peaced out of here. Question: About a month ago I started exclusively dating somebody. Why would you want to date ANYBODY exclusively once you have game? I'm totally down with relationships, but "open to non-monogamy" is pretty high on my list of qualities the girl would have to have before I'd want to get serious with her. Maybe that's just me. Edit: I'm asking a serious question, guys. Super lame to downvote something just because you don't feel the…

I'd also like to point out the relation between this and having an abundance mentality. The reason that it is important to have a mentality of abundance because when you know there's always another girl in the near future and none of them are truly significant in the present, then you will never let a girl influence your values. That's a great paragraph – thanks.
/r/seduction24/06/11 03:23 AM

I can appreciate how it's hard not to "game" women once you know how – but it shouldn't be hard to not sleep with them, and it sounds like you may be a bit needy on that front if you can't help but sleep with every girl who throws herself at you.

Yeah, I suppose, though honestly I find OKC pretty ass-random. Meaning, how someone comes across on OKC has very little correlation to how they come across in person, myself included. I've thought of rewriting my profile to be less idiosyncratic and attract a larger number of girls, but it's working OK so far and I'm lazy.
/r/seduction28/05/11 08:29 PM
4

Oh, no, I don't actually have 10 profiles, I was just making a theoretical point.
/r/seduction28/05/11 07:34 PM
3

I don't think that matters that much – it's just a couple sentence that don't actually say anything true about me, they're just funny. I bet lots of girls don't think it's that funny, but it happened to this girl's kind of humor. Basically, if you write 10 funny profiles, different girls will message you "OMG best self-summary ever" depending on which one you use.

Dude. Take a chill pill. Proclaiming that a woman can't be trusted for what she is saying, based simply on the fact that she is a woman, is about as chauvinist as it gets. It has nothing to do with trust, and everything to do with the fact that people can't be objective about assessing themselves. That's exactly what frogma was saying with the genders-reversed analogy. One shouldn't put much stock in a straight woman's advice on how to seduce women for the exact same reason that one shouldn't pu…

What the hell is up with everyone saying "HIT THE GYM!!!"? We know better than to take a woman's diagnosis of a relationship at face value. She says she's not physically attracted to him, but IMHO that's probably a symptom of a broader lack of attraction, not the root problem in itself. If the guy had better game, she might find his scrawny body more "physically attractive" in a hurry. My recommendation is: read up on game in general, but kino especially (e.g. the DiCarlo PDF). Also, it sounds l…
/r/seduction24/05/11 02:26 PM

The only chance you have IMHO is learning to escalate kino (physical contact) better. Have you read the DiCarlo escalation ladder? Google it, read it and reread it. Remember you should spend the most time in the "incidental" phases.

The theory is fine – yes, token resistence is to be plowed through, actual resistence is to be respected. The problem was in the examples, which seemed to be including practically everything as token resistence, short of putting clothes back on and curling up into a ball. (I'm exaggerating a bit, but that captures the basic point SpookyKG is trying to make I think.) I mean, sometimes a girl actually wants to make out but not have sex, and that's not token resistance.
/r/seduction23/05/11 04:31 AM
7

Thing is, it sounds like you've crossdressed for fun/as a joke, but for some people it's more central to their identity and self-expression. I don't know (or think it's appropriate to speculate about) the precise details of his gender identity, but it seems much more likely he's in the second camp.
/r/seduction23/05/11 04:27 AM

I second this. He seemed to not be trying to incite a downvote brigade, and to actually be on the fence about us (rather than a hater).
/r/seduction23/05/11 03:43 AM
4

Upboat. Glad to see several people voicing this opinion here.
/r/seduction23/05/11 01:30 AM
6

Yeah, spot on. I think that article was a little unbalanced actually. I mean, I'm glad he included the "don't actually rape people" line at the end, but fleshing out the difference between token and non-token resistance would've been better. Edit: Except I disagree with the "healthy" part, like opportuneport. I think girls with the healthiest attitudes about sex are the least likely to put up token resistance, actually. Too bad girls like that are rare.
/r/seduction23/05/11 01:30 AM
14

There's nothing hilarious about ridiculing cross-dressers or trans people. So what if the dude has a complicated, non-binary gender identity? More power to him. This is orthogonal to his being an AFC and a tattle-tale.

There's no bubble to burst, and you're misquoting me: I didn't say women "don't" judge guys by their looks, I said they don't do it in the same way guys judge girls. Big difference. To pull numbers out of my ass, for guys looks are something like 80+ percent of attraction, whereas for women it seems closer to 40-50 percent. I never said it was zero percent – you're right, it's definitely not.
/r/seduction20/05/11 06:33 PM
1

I'm with you. That sentence by itself is harder to argue with – it was the other stuff and the implication that not only HB9s and 10s ("extremely attractive women") but even HB8s are out of a fat dude's league.
/r/seduction20/05/11 06:30 PM
4

You're right that there's some truth to what she's saying, but you're entire second paragraph contradicts her point that it's "ridiculous" for a fat guy to dare to think he could pull hot girls.
/r/seduction20/05/11 07:02 AM
4

I call bullshit. Sorry but why should a "HB" 8 bother with a guy that is a 3? Because most women don't judge guys by their looks in the same way guys judge girls. A "3" guy by looks with confidence and charisma jacked up to 10, and nice clothes and grooming, will do great. (He'll do even better when he loses the weight, sure.)

girls can't give good advice when it comes to seducing girls. The same way I'd have trouble giving a girl some advice about seducing guys. (Congrats, btw.) I guess I'm more concerned about your long term prospects with your GF than with other girls. Yes, physical appearance matters, and it's probably 20-30 percent of attraction for most women IMHO. The "looks don't matter" meme can be taken too far. That said, I think it's an important counter for guys who assume that figure is more like 80-90 percent. (It is for men, but women are different.) Point is, being handsome and/or well-dressed definitely helps. Scoring well on that 20-30 percent can push you over the top. But confidence/etc. is still the most important thing with women.

I don't know if you noticed, but this place is about picking up women, meaning 99% of the people here are dudes. (And while I can't speak for the lesbian/bi women, I'd be surprised if many of them took great offense at titles like OP's.)

I'm the first to defend female commenters here when they have something insightful to contribute (and your point that "more and more women these days are open to casual sex" is certainly that). But I'm downvoting you because you're making crude, lazy generalizations about this whole scene. Read objectsinmirror's comment, read some posts that are even more anti-routine than he is, and think twice before you make assumptions when commenting here.

Son, you gotta be more specific than "a lot of PUA material." What exactly are you talking about? What widely accepted bit of pickup wisdom says you need to "conquer" people? Show us. When he started performing to our group, he felt awkward/insecure and needed us to elevate him. So the problem isn't that he tried to open a big group and be the life of the party – the problem is he did that without the necessary inner game.

Good point. I'd suggest nHB1-5 (for "not Hot Babe") instead though. I like how "HB#" jumps out in a wall of text and you can instantly tell it's talking about a girl. Also, I don't think 5s should be referred to as "ugly" – a 5 is a girl you are neither attracted to or repulsed by. Meaning, if a HB5 put a gun to your head and said "fuck me," you wouldn't say "awesome!", but you wouldn't say "fffuuuuuuuu" either.
/r/seduction11/03/11 06:59 PM

HB1 + HB2 + HB3 + HB4 = HB10!! Edit: Just realized that's already four people, and there's no room for Tofu. Maybe he's the HB4. Which gives me a hilarious image of Tofu and a bunch of ugly girls as Transformers combining into a Mecha-HB10.

This is a great format idea – I don't know if I want my face associated with pickup just yet though, so I may not follow suit. It is much harder to build a happy, lasting relationship than it is to fuck a skank that you've taken home from a club. Not that I'm judging Bullshit, you're judging precisely at the word "skank," which compares apples to oranges. Somebody wanting to make a shitty argument for seddit > R_A could just as easily say, "It is much harder to take home a model from a club than have a mediocre LTR with an HB6. Oh, I didn't notice you changed "what you are" to "who you are" – that's a small improvement, true. But it's still basically about shaming women for prostitution/sex work, and shaming women in general for having sex in socially-unapproved ways – which is fucked up, and against our interest PUAs (liberated attitudes help us). Think about it: why is it "greedy, manipulative, selfish" to sleep with someone for $50,000? If that's your annual salary, that's a huge, huge amount of money, for one night…

Meh, I always hated this meme. The punchline is based on the idea that being a whore (= sex worker) is a shameful thing, and it's not. Some people do it because they have few/no other options; some people do it because it's easy money and they don't have emotional hangups about it. Great FR, big props to ya mate. Two comments. First: we start making out i ask her if she wants to come back to my place she declines You asked? You should've told, and then told again when she declined the first time. Second: I suspect there may be some HB inflation in this FR – that is, that the rest of us might rate these girls as HB7, HB7.5 and HB8. I think if you're spinning plates, you shouldn't be waiting for one them to break things off before you find someone new. Once you're seeing as many girls as you have time for, you should proactively "fire" the one you're least attracted to, and then try to add someone better. So I would say, fire the HB6(s) and try to score a HB8 or another HB9.

Betas are the norm, and natural alphas are the exception. It's totally reasonable for cachondo to focus on the 90% of the male population who are betas in answering OP's question. Especially since the other 10% (natural alphas) act pretty similar to PUAs (studied alphas)
/r/seduction03/02/11 07:33 AM

Was gonna say the same thing. OP's chances with those two girls are only over if he feels/acts as though he has anything to be ashamed of (which he doesn't).

This reminds me of the time years ago when I asked a HB10 at my school for her number, nervous and dorky as fuck. She didn't give it to me, obv, but I felt proud of myself for having the balls to ask.

redditor != sedditor The reason the scale is effectively 6-10 here is that no self-respecting, sober guy sleeps with girls he doesn't find attractive (1-5).

Uh, did you read the post? No flaking at all, more like the opposite problem (she was so compliant it was almost boring). I didn't feel the need to emblazon this with the word "f-close" in the title, even though it was, as I thought that was obvious in context.

A place is only as lame as you make it. I agree – hence the comment "Probably could've salvaged it better" – but why make things difficult? I agree with your second point too, except I don't think it's scarcity mentality in my case – abundance mentality has actually been one of my major epiphanies lately – just laziness. It's easier to hook up with an established girl than to meet a new one.

Trolls? No, the newbs are just newbs, and I have no idea what you're talking about with the HB10 vs. HB12 thing. Please post an example. My guess is you just can't believe/are jealous of the fact that some people regularly score with HB8s and up. (I don't, but I love learning from people who do.)
/r/seduction01/02/11 03:24 AM

True, but sometimes seeing an example of a better-worded response can show you what a more confident attitude looks like. So I don't think #2 type posts are completely pointless.

For some girls, but I think that would've come off as too douchey with this one. Oh, and WTF is your problem making comments beginning with "Wrong"? If you're going to be that ballsy, you better be bringing stronger sauce than those three goofy lines, or the OP better be making an obvious mistake, not a debatable one.
/r/seduction01/02/11 03:10 AM

Ha, good point. IMHO it's not that looks don't matter, it's that they matter less than other things. If you only subscribed to (and followed the advice of) one subreddit, seddit alone will get you way further than r/fitness alone. But both is even better.

Be the LEADER the entire time. KEEP A LEADING FRAME. So true. On my last date I phrased the take-home as a question – "You're coming to my place, right?" and she looked at me like, wtf, you're supposed to be leading. It might not be different for picking up girls, but spinning plates must be a lot harder. Once you get a reputation as a player, other girls are going to be more on their guard when you try to pick them up.

You're right that it's not all about your personality, but personality is the most important thing. An average-looking guy (HG4-6) with amazing self-confidence and game will get laid way more than a timid, awkward HG10, no question. The HG10 might have the wheels more greased for that initial approach, but from that moment on, a girl is going to care more about how the HG5 is making her feel (due to his game) than how symmetrical the HG10's face is. A really ugly dude – HG2-3 even after grooming…

I'm upvoting you because you're making a reasonable point – no, I haven't been his wingman, and I realize his comedy might not be meant to depict his actual life with total realism. But that said, if his material (standup, "Lucky Louis," and "Louie") is even loosely based on his life, dude's an AFC.
/r/seduction30/01/11 05:24 AM
1

Nope – my original comment began with the words "I love him". I think something else is going on here. I feel everybody's pain – I love him, and it pained me when I realized this dude I kind of idolize in many respects appears to be serious AFC. And it's really strange, actually – otherwise, the guy seems pretty alpha, at least in the sense that he doesn't give a shit what other people think about him (hence so much of his unfiltered, genius material).

TofuTofu posts the most epic FRs here, and he's overweight. Also, people say I'm good looking, but I'm skinny and I've had terrible acne this month, and it hasn't stopped me. I haven't checked them out, but people recommend David Wygant and RSD for improving your confidence.

I love him, but he's sooooooo beta with women (Not talking about this clip – see anything about him and his wife, or meeting new girls post-divorce)
/r/seduction30/01/11 01:20 AM

Once more: women don't care that much about looks I mean, looks help, but a non-confident male model will do worse than a HG3+ with amazing confidence and game.

Take this with a huuuuuuge grain of salt, since I'm neither a chick nor a lesbian, but to me it seems like you might be too preoccupied with a girl's current self-identified orientation. I mean, she might be "straight," or she might be "bi," or she might be "straight plus LesbianPUA." My text game sucks and I want to keep light convo up throughout the week, do you guys have any tips? A more specific question is more likely to get an answer, IMHO. What do you already know about text game?
/r/seduction29/01/11 07:32 PM
1

I have to make sure my text/phone game is down to keep her interested. That might be your problem right there – you sound a bit too invested in the outcome. Just try to have fun, and game other girls in the meantime, and probably you'll be in good shape for whenever you see her next. For me, "trying to have fun" with a girl is largely "seeing what I can get away with." What's the most hilariously outrageous text you could send that wouldn't be guaranteed to turn her off?
/r/seduction29/01/11 07:29 PM
3

Now, of course it's a bit easier for girls to do this than guys, but don't let that stop you!! I bet this is true – but I bet that just makes it a little harder for us, not impossible.

We small talk, and I neg her for hitting on guys at the gym. Her friend HB8 strolls in and I playfully act like HB7 has been talking trash about HB8. They're both laughing/smiling. HB8 points out that HB7 just keeps smiling and she couldn't figure out why. I have the set primed for a #-close or insta-date....and I flop. I totally blow it and eject from the set without anything to show. That sucks... but don't be so hard on yourself with this "fail report" nonsense – this is an FR. You did a lot …

Not sure I'm picking up what you're putting down, mind explaining? Edit: Here's my guess. OP is saying clingy guys (= AFCs) tend to be unexciting in the sack too, and guys that are animals in the sack tend not to be AFCs. Is that it? I think that's probably true, but just as a rule of thumb.

Fucking awesome. she actually LOVES Tickle Me Elmo, so I tickled her. She played it off nice, but I could tell she was resistant to my tickling. /r/seduction29/01/11 04:58 PM

Killer. You sound like you know what you're doing, but FWIW I always go for sex on the first date, assuming it's a normal date. (If it's an ostensibly platonic coffee date or something, I might wait.) It sets an expectation that this is a primarily sexual relationship (until further notice), which I think is important if you aren't trying to find an LTR in the near future.
/r/seduction29/01/11 12:14 AM

It was probably just "I want to get some sleep" resistance, not sex-related LMR at that point.

Yes. It's true some guys aren't into this – I think it's the ones that buy into socially prescribed gender roles more – but I think nerdy guys are less likely to have hangups over it.

I think OP may have made his first blunder by letting her pick the place and (I'm guessing) time for this meeting. You should be doing that in general, and especially talks like this.
/r/seduction27/01/11 03:58 AM

It implies you're highly frustrated ... Remember YOU ARE THE PARTY. OK, you've talked me out of it :) Although I do feel like we agree on the larger point, which is that rescheduling shouldn't just be reflexively accommodated. Your line "I'm dropping you to my third favorite Japanese girl now," for example, is basically a more fun way of expressing the same kind of disapproval I'm trying to communicate.
/r/seduction26/01/11 06:51 AM

you cant text "lightheartedness." I know, I know, I need to absorb that concept about text game better... I do think in this context (most recently) she took it that way, but you're right it's very much not guaranteed a person takes something how you intend it over text.

Exactly.
/r/seduction26/01/11 06:43 AM

/r/seduction26/01/11 06:41 AM
2

lol, I think I've touched a nerve :) I TOTALLY get that rescheduling is a normal part of life. The "advance-warning flaking" bit was kind of tongue-in-cheek. That said, it's possible to be too accommodating. I mean, if you make plans with someone, that should go on her calendar, and that time should be unavailable for other events, unless it's something really important. If you just reflexively are OK with being rescheduled, you're sort of communicating to the other person, "My schedule/time isn…

I don't think I was so much an AFC as an "average lucky chump." Meaning, I had no clue how seduction worked, but I fell into a series of LTRs through highschool and college, so I was getting laid enough that I wasn't especially frustrated with my love life. Until senior year I found myself single, with a baaaad case of oneitis for one of my exes, and that was terrible. Thankfully, I stumbled onto David D, and that was my first huuuuuge epiphany. This is the environment I thrive in, the warm open and internet/texting game. I did well here because a) I already had a reason to approach this girl and b) I built rapport with her yesterday.... Take me to a club or a bar and I look like 90% of the guys there standing around like mongoloids. Yep, that's me too... (for the time being)

I saw her entering her email into someone's phone, so without asking whose it was I took it out of her hand, erased what she had written, and put it on the table. The girl loved it. The guy who owned the phone did not. He protested - to her, not to me - but she blew him off and followed me out of the bar, holding my hand. The epic, it hurts lololololololol

Props. Not to diminish your skill as a PUA, but I think the playing music thing was probably key for picking up the Persian girl, and your pickup skills were basically what allowed you to convert that initial interest into a lay. The takeaway being, it's awesome to have major DHVs like that in your life, and if a guy doesn't have anything, he should work on fixing that!

I'm not afraid to dance, but I have NO IDEA how to escalate kino on the dancefloor. I go into my own little zone, and look at people bumping and grinding with girls with envy. I don't have this problem off the dancefloor, so it's confusing why all of a sudden kino becomes hard for me when dancing.

You're misinterpreting the word "reactive." Not being reactive doesn't mean "not reacting," it means not reacting in a kneejerk way. Put another way, instead of functioning like this: stimulus > response (being reactive), you should function like: stimulus > moment of reflection > response. IntermediatePUA's point is that if your inner game is strong, that moment of reflection will allow you to formulate an on-the-spot response that doesn't fail the test.

I'm confused, what's the connection between a club's cover charge and whether they card you? she asks me if I go to love hotels often and basically tries to call me out as a player. I hurdled and said no this was my first time, which it truly was. I don`t think I handled that situation very well. Did you see this thread on the player accusation? No, no, no – it's not at all a "big dog" vs. AFC issue. It's a FR vs. "AskSeddit" issue. When anybody, pro or newbie, posts a real FR – a report of them attempting to put stuff into practice, and asking for feedback – I upvote and encourage them. Like this guy. When newbies expect us to hold their hands and advise them on every move they make (instead of manning up, going out, making mistakes, and then writing it up as an FR), I tell them to RTFM.

I can sort of sympathize with this feeling, but you really don't need anything so comprehensive as a checklist. IMO you should just fly totally by instinct, or have just a couple new ideas in your head that you want to try out. For example, I want to try out TofuTofu's extreme physical push/pull thing next time I have a chance, so that'll be in the back of my head next time I'm on a date or sarging. I'm just making sure we're on the same page. Have you really been able to go from K to F in 5-15 minutes (as advertised in the PDF) with that? I mean the "Escalation Ramp" that says just do: kiss then kiss neck then touch back then touch bellies then the zizi from behind The "Ladder" list seemed a lot longer (more items, more time) and intuitive, but the above seemed more surprising.

PS, why are you browsing the "fucking idiotic PUA online community" in the first place? This isn't a frontpage subreddit, you must have come here intentionally. You're either trolling, or you're looking for something.

You're missing the point of the article. The point, as I would describe it, is that when a girl describes a guy as "nice," it's basically a conscious or unconscious euphemism for "pushover." Two totally different concepts, as you point out, but really, really strongly linked in practice, or at least in the way people speak. I mean, think of it this way. I think many/most girls may, in fact, actually want a nice guy. But that's not at the top of their list. Being confident is at or near the top o…

What I meant was, she may have made the decision then and there that she was only going to make out with you, so the specifics of the kino after that moment may not be as relevant as that moment itself.

Yeah, there's no need to say "I'm not looking for a serious relationship" mid-kiss, for chrissakes. She has a right to know, but if it's important to her, she needs to ask. She probably wouldn't have asked until several dates had passed, by which point you might have already gotten laid. I'm not sure how useful it is critiquing the kino, because the whole situation was a bit awkward by that point because of the above. Did she let you touch her boobs though? That definitely comes before "no-no" (…

Regardless, I think TofuTofu's advice is right on. It looks like she's probably into you, but I'd recommend getting more practice and studying up (ideally in something like a 2:1 ratio) before trying again with this one. Why haven't you gone back to her place when she offers though?

Awesome. I still am looking for a chance to use your hardcore push/pull (probably could've worked into my date last night but forgot). I'm curious how you deal with the male cockblockers. Seriously, who the hell is downvoting an awesome, advanced, real-life FR? Methinks the hordes of AFC newcomers need to lurk more and vote less until they can tell the difference between awesome shit like this and ho-hum shit like this.

Uh, no it's not, it's good, solid, commendable beginner stuff, that's all. And you're making a lot of dumb assumptions. Um, the goal here isn't to increase the volume of posts – as if there were a shortage of information on the internet or something – but the quality. Posts like this are good, but the fact that it's far and away the top voted post makes seddit a joke.
/r/seduction19/01/11 05:13 PM

Maybe because the top-voted posts should generally be intermediate/advanced material? I mean, if we want seddit to become amateur hour, by all means, let's have more posts by people trying brave, commendable, but basically random and unstudied (AFAICT) shit, and upvote the hell out of it. I'm not putting myself on a pedestal – I say this as someone who's learning, and wants to be able to learn something from the top few posts.

No worries – that changes things a bit, doesn't it? :) I can appreciate where you're coming from though – I only recently came to understand the fact that most girls like being fucked like it's the last night before a meteor wipes us all out. I mean, not all girls are into really kinky/rough shit, but I think pretty damn near all of them want you to show some goddamn powerful energy and enthusiasm.

I read the original post and your comment.... Nothing about 5 - 10 minutes max. Ummm... We went for about 10 minutes, which she was amazed i didn't cum in (haha), before she decided we should stop Above from his original post. Questions: Did you read my comment on his original post? And do you have any experience with this kind of Christian girl? My main point is, the "aftermath" is pretty much a known quantity: she'll feel even more guilty, and that'll be the end. Period. Your fantasy in your previous comment that OP can "fuck the Jesus out of her" literally overnight is simply not going to happen. I agree I think OP is doing the right thing, and just needs to keep it up, but as I told him last time, I think he needs to chill out a little bit and see this as a long-term prospect. At some point, if she gives him the opportunity again, it will probably make sense to just fuck her brains out and see what happens, but if he does that at the very first opportunity, it's almost certainly going to be the last time. It's basically the boil-a-toad parable. OP wants to make out with her again, but i…

Got it. And, if you are in the friend zone, it is easier and faster to go out, meet a new girl, and get into her pants, than it is to climb out of the friend zone Yes, plus this kind of behavior (screw this girl, GFTOG) is part of what will help you get out of the friendzone with the first girl.

/r/seduction16/01/11 01:31 AM

I'm beginning to realize age is becoming a concern (late 20s here), but I think lying is a cheap way to solve the problem. If your game is good, a girl won't care as much about your age, and some girls don't care much to begin with. Which I find creepy, incidentally, when a mid-20s girl lists "25-40" on her profile, but whatever, it means the dating pool won't wither up anytime soon.
/r/seduction16/01/11 12:51 AM
10

I disagree, depending on what you mean. Are guys responsible for ending up in the friend zone most of the time? Yes. But once they're there, are women thinking of them like the woman in the Onion article, or the girl in this comment? I think much more like the former than the latter. In both cases the guy can try to break out, but usually it's a hard, long slog, not like Twisting_Me's situation at all.

I would go ahead with Tuesday. Maybe make her sweat, but don't cancel. If her excuses seemed BS, I would probably cancel, just on general principle. But she may just actually be having bad luck. Now, if she flakes again – for whatever reason – I would probably say something to the effect of, I was trying to give you the benefit of the doubt, but you're starting to really seem like a flake. And be hard to get after that point. Let's hope it doesn't come to that though. Keep us posted.

Yeah, I think sexual long distance flirting doesn't really work. And I'm starting to lean away from electronic communication with long distance people. They should feel your absence, and the few times you have in person should be what is mainly populating their memories of you. (That's my new hypothesis anyway.)

OK man, I'm all over this shit. I'm guessing you're not Christian, right? So here's a take from an ex-Christian dude who got mad laid with Christian girls at a Christian college back in the day. (At least, "mad laid" by that school's standards, more like average by secular school standards.) Here's what I'm guessing she's feeling. One, she's a normal, red-blooded female, and you've been bringing your A-1 game, so she wanted to jump your bones. Two, she was brought up to believe this is bad, bad,…

It was really nice to feel like champ instead of a chump for a change. The difference between a CHAMP and a CHUMP is U Way to go! Yeah, I think if I could do it over, I would've tried to communicate the same thing in a funnier way. My worry was that if I wasn't clear, I would come off as not having the balls to say what I meant. But I probably could've been clear enough while keeping it at the level of innuendo.

Ah... you mean, you could've said "Yes" to Sunday, but said you had plans for the sake of being firm? In that case, sure, maybe it was #7. Keep the big picture though – you're in fucking high school, and you're way ahead of where most people are in high school, including most of us I bet. (I think most sedditors/PUA types, like me, weren't naturals and had to learn a lot of this stuff later in life. It wasn't until senior year of college for me.)
/r/seduction15/01/11 06:14 AM
2

Way to go, my man. Sounds like you did exactly the kind of thing you need to do at this point. Just fucking talk to everybody, crash and burn a few times, roll with the punches, and keep doing it. It gets easier, and the more positive conversations you have (with anybody, but especially girls) the more confident you feel, which helps you do even better. Looking forward to FR #3.

you took alpha "im in control and im taking the lead and planning" too far and turned it into "i need to be in control and i get a little overbearing when my unbreakable schedule gets a wrench thrown in it." I totally agree, except this seems a bit overstated: As Neil said, sarging is for losers. I would say "only sarging is for losers." I don't see why "sarging" (not that I'm crazy about that term) can't be part of a balanced life for a lot of guys. Also, where did Neil (Strauss I assume) say that?

Keep reading seddit, and read the intro materials in the sidebar. There's a lot of good stuff here. One of the easiest things you can do to boost your confidence and perception thereof is to start talking and moving more slowly. People who talk and move fast (both the delay before beginning and the speed after you begin) seem nervous. And even if you are nervous, doing the opposite actually makes you feel less so.

Don't worry, I was following you: It doesn't matter what they look like if you enjoy their looks You're saying "objective" looks aren't as important as whether you subjectively dig her looks, right? Aka, it's less important how seddit would rate a girl, and more important how you rate her. (Which is the point of the post I just made.)

All true PUAs should be very picky I think. I'm a picky motherfucker too (though not always for the same girls other guys are going for), so I want to agree with you, but I think there's a million ways to be. Some people are at a point in life where being slutty is the right thing for them. Other people are where you and me are. It's all about knowing yourself, I think.

I think being outcome-independent may be the key to this kind of nervousness. Think about it: with most girls, you probably aren't going to be that hurt if they say no, but for girls of this caliber you seem to have a scarcity mentality. Just try to remember that it's not the end of the world if she says no, and you could meet someone even cooler tomorrow.

Try focusing more on asking yourself "would I enjoy spending time with this girl?" That's good advice. I get kind of ahead of myself, asking "would I want to be in an LTR with this girl?" I do talk to people I have no intention (or none yet) of picking up – "talk to everybody" is one of the best pieces of advice I've gotten here. Or remind of, actually – I think I first heard that on some David D interview.

Are you nervous about her becoming attached after the sex? In my experience in this department (which is probably vastly less than yours), this isn't a huge issue. I think it's kind of a myth. I mean, sometimes you deflower a girl and she gets attached, but then again sometimes you sleep with nonvirgins and they get attached too. I think it has more to do with the girl than the virginity status.

it was probably because you were beating around the bush. I think you may be right – that what I was picking up on wasn't so much resistance, as her feeling awkward that I wasn't being quite as assertive as I could've been.
