You aren't set up to fail, that is a loser attitude.

A lot of men experience this when they go from doing awesome shit to the painfully boring reality most people live in. Most of us have jobs that we would walk away from right now if we didn't have bills to pay.

My suggestion to you is to look at taking up something exciting like MMA, Auto Racing, or anything like that you can really get into as your "mission".

The problem with graduating college are:

You'll never be in an environment with that many DTF 18-22 year old girls in your life again
You go from being a senior at the top of the totem pole to being back at the bottom again.
All your friends are also spreading their wings and moving away and busy with work. No more of those summers where you'd wake up at 11 on a Tuesday, go play some sports with your friends then game until 3 in the morning just enjoying life with no responsibilities.

As others have said, consider moving to a major city where there are things going on every single day. Or just try to come to grips with the fact that after graduating college you need to work hard to attain the status you once had.

So the OP - who asked me to comment here - is used to being the BMOC, playing a sport, having a hot girlfriend, etc....and now he isn't, he doesn't, and he doesn't. He's graduated to "real life" and it turns out that it's not as fun as being a BMOC, because you have to start over and be a grown up. The OP also started out post uni in an entry level gig that kind of sucked, because: entry level gig. He's gone on to become more successful since then and will continue to do well with time if he applies himself, but "real life" isn't to his taste but there aren't any other viable options.

The real problem that the OP has is that success in life requires something called "work", which he doesn't like because work is "hard". So in that sense, as a former BMOC, he's a bit like a hot chick who is now post-Wall^SPLAT! and what used to be easy no longer is. Rather than adjust to this reality, he wants to mope around and complain about how his life sucks and so forth, except his life doesn't suck, he's just lazy.

Why do I say this? Because he's 25, he's got a good job for his age and he's still in good shape from being an athlete. Rather than realizing, "Hey, I've leveled up, and I need to do things differently, now" it's all "Woe is me, life is so hard, why can't I be 20 again, on scholarship and banging hotties who fall into my lap? Waah! Waaaaah!"

Also, he's a decent looking guy and can get girls still, and relatively easily, but he's always looking for his "One Special Unicorn" and so on.

TL;DR: When there is no wind, row.

Do you live in a major city? If not, consider moving. I live and work in one of the world's biggest cities and there is exciting shit on every day. Made good friends at networking and interest groups. Hell, I even befriended people off the reddit group from my city and videogame developer groups!

Also think about Martial Arts and Dancing Classes and all of this should be a good lead. Don't sit on your ass at home, do shit that scares you and you will reap results. Lifting is not a hobby but a necessity, get actual hobbies.

Welcome to your after-college life crisis. It happens to most of us when we realize that we don’t really know what we want to do in life. Anxiety settles in as you try to answer the question; What now?

As others have said. Go and find some hobbies first. Your job may not be the best but if you want to change careers you will have to study again.

Life is hard and we as humans have made it very very very monotonous which causes everyone to die inside. You have to fight so this does not happen. Mold it. Be better at your job to get out earlier. Be the one that sets up meetings.

It really depends where you are. If you're in some backwater, asscrack-of-nowhere town, you'll obviously look back with rose tinted glasses. Move to a big city where there are lot of exciting things happening. Make awesome friends who do awesome things. College should not be the peak of your life
