Kind of new to the subreddit here, but I have read a lot of what it has to offer. Was hoping to get some advice on how to handle this situation well and not blow it.

I started talking to a girl on OKCupid about 3 weeks ago. I consider her around a 9 and assumed I had no chance getting a response in the first place, but we actually have been sending messages back and forth for a while. She's been super friendly and everything, but responds very occasionally (about twice a week). She gave me her # pretty quickly and we have been texting, but the texts have also been very infrequent.

I eventually chalked this up as a lost cause and sent her a message saying I understood she wasn't into me (because the communication was so infrequent) and that I appreciated her responding at all in the first place. I said that if she decided she wanted to meet somewhere for real sometime, just let me know.

She quickly responded back saying she did infact want to meet and that she has just been very busy lately. I was surprised, and responded with surprise saying that that would be great and for her to tell me when a good time would be.

Since then the texts and messages have been just as infrequent, with no plans to meet up still. I'm not really sure how aggressive to be here. I don't know if she is just stringing me along, or if she genuinely plans to meet me. I don't doubt at all that she is very busy.

I'm just looking for some perspective on this. Maybe some advice on how often to try to initiate conversation with her, how light I should be, how often I should suggest we meet.

Edit: I don't know if this should be on the okc subreddit or here, I just figured since it was past the okc profile stage and more into the making the first encounter happening stage, this subreddit was more fitting.
