Suggestions on how to ask out a girl that works clothing store

Hey I know that girl! She also works in a restaurant I go to a lot and sometimes she splits into two girls who both work at the Whole Foods in Oakland. (Girls are very clever.)

Way to go talking to her at all. Most guys don't even get that far.

No one knows what will work for you and her, if anything.

I can tell you what has sometimes worked for me in similar situations.

I'd try going in again and joking around with her. I might try...

You: Hi.

Her: Yeah, what?

You: I need a complete wardrobe update that will totally change my life forever.

Her: Uh, I don't think we have that.

You: OK how about a T-shirt that will make my life slightly different for ten minutes.

If she hasn't even cracked a smile by this point, are you sure you really want to spend much time with her?

Or how about...

You (Urgently): Listen, the mall cops are after me. I need a disguise so I can get out of here.

Her: What did you do?

You: I stole a girl's heart.

Her: You did not.

You: I could have.

Her: Probably not.

You: OK, you're right. They tried to bust me for attempted loitering.

Her: You must really suck at loitering.

You: Are you kidding? I'm the loiter king. You and me, Starbucks. After work. Loitering contest.

Her: I don't know...

You: Chicken, huh. That's cool. I'd be intimidated too.

Etc...

I gotta tell you, though. Clothing store girls are a tough crowd. Good luck!

I'm not really one to dive into situations like this, but I'm really bored and felt like tackling this. I would say just slowly get to know her more. If you are there like really often to the point where she recognizes you, start slowly introducing yourself. A simple like, hey, your always the one in here when I come in here, you must know my entire wardrobe by now! I'm so and so, etc type thing. You know, just get on a first name basis where you can say hi every time you come in, ask her how her day is, etc. Frankly, having worked in boring jobs like this, even as a guy, the slightest bit of attention usually makes my day better. Even if its just a lame joke about my job or something. At the end of the day, you always remember the biggest dicks you had to deal with, and the kind people who talked to you. At least get yourself past the, I swipe my card and buy things persona. I actually did this with the girl who cut my hair. One day, she mentioned how she was excited about her lunch break coming up in an hour and I was just like, if you don't have like real plans, would you like to grab something to eat with me. Granted she turned out to be really weird and I stopped going there afterward, but it worked. There is a difference between hitting on a girl, and being sweet with her. Don't be a creep, like Charlie in always sunny, and don't be a dick, and you should at least have a chance. Girls like confidence and if you have the confidence to ask her out in a non rude way, you have a decent chance. But like I said, I've only done this once, but I feel like this is decent advice.

Can you create a fun, interesting conversation with and about clothes? Use humor & imagination. Then, when she sees you are fun and confident and she enjoys the time with you, you can ask her out and you'll succeed unless she has some other commitment.

If you cold ask her out, you'll most likely get blown.
