Hey all,
I've been thinking about improving myself and becoming more "alpha" over the past few years. I've made changes to the way I present myself and have seen it bear fruit.
A lot of it is working, and I find myself a lot more confident, outgoing and secure than I was previously.
Having said that, I still struggle with some issues in my inner game. For example, I often find myself comparing myself to other guys and thinking, "well, I'm pretty confident, but there's no way I'm as Alpha as those guys", or "I really am not in the same league as those girls". I know this is definitely the wrong way to go about doing things, but I've been doing it for so long that I don't know how to break out of the habit.
Another example: I find it ridiculously difficult to maintain eye contact with a strange woman on the street. Once she starts making eye contact, my eyes will "flicker" away and down, which I know is terrible, terrible, terrible. In the back of my head, I keep thinking "what if she gets mad because I'm staring at her?". Again, bullshit and beta behavior, I know.
So here's my question: have any of you gone through this? What's a good way to work on your inner game?
