Hey all,

I'm somebody who's interested in getting better with women as well as getting more confident in general. I've come across r/seddit recently, and it seems quite intriguing. What I can't figure out yet if this stuff is 'real', or if it's mostly based around manipulation, deception, etc.

I've read the book and related videos in the Double Your Dating series by David DeAngelo, and I think they're awesome. David starts by explaining the theories behind how attraction works, what the evolutionary reasons behind some behavior are, etc. before discussing any 'tricks'. All his methods are based on improving yourself, leading to attraction in women. There are no shortcuts, no manipulation, deception, etc. It's quite simple - if you're confident, funny and a strong 'Alpha' male (I realize there's no real definition of such a thing), etc. you get women. Along the way you feel better about yourself and your decisions as well.

Is r/seddit similar? What are the core principles behind it? Why do you think it works? How do I know it's not a sham, and why should I spend time and energy learning from it?

Thanks!
