What's funny about this FR is that moments ago, I was about to post a thread asking how I should go about getting this girl to the movies with me. Needless to say, I manned the fuck up and verbally took her by the hand.

What happened was this: yesterday, I set up a date with this girl. I told her we'd see a movie in the evening. Unfortunately I was late for picking her up and she was nowhere to be found, as well.

Today I went back to her workplace and took out my laptop. I did a little bit of reading and a little bit of writing, all the while making some short conversation paths with her. She was working, so I didn't have incredible lengths of time to talk.

About twice, I brought up yesterday's movie, asking if she'd join me for today. She was hesitant about it. Cool, I thought, and I didn't push much further than that.

I finished my readings for the day, packed up my laptop, and walked up to her counter.

  • So, what time do you finish work today?

  • Awesome, because the movie starts an hour later, and you owe me one for ditching me yesterday. smile

Teasing her like this brought out a little emotional response from her. I cut her off quickly and

  • We aren't going to argue about this. I'll be back at the end of your shift to pick you up.

And that was that. I walked out and laughed to myself on how well that went. I could tell she was a little nervous from the day before and even now she couldn't make up her mind, so after I finally stopped being a pussy and waiting for a response, I took the opportunity to lead. Now I have a date with a lady tonight to see Friends With Benefits.
