i dated a girl who had gorgeous eyes. a month into the relationship and she told me that i was the first guy to hit on her without ever mentioning her eyes. she went on to explain just how often and how tiring it became when the compliments were so similar. You approached, and that's admirable but if i could comment on anything then it is that most conscientious people generally have an idea of themselves physically. you may win a person through flattery and shallow surface observations but it wouldn't necessarily make you stand out. I also believe that compliments are best when a person works for it. She was born with good genetics, but if she has good taste in clothes, walks elegantly, speaks intelligently, then i think those would be better conversation topics/starters.

What's the point if you just walked away?

It's like a fisherman yelling "You fish look tasty" at a lake and then going to sit inside and watch fisherman TV or something.

Being afraid of rejection is something that needs to be stomped out, its one of the situatuions if you don't put yourself through it then how do you expect the situation to go further, if you had no intention to have a conversation then fine, but if you wanted to practice your game, next time stick around and smile . don't be one of the guys that drive past in cars and shout out "NICE ASS".

Being shot down is really hard in person, most of the time i # close just because they are too polite to say no, if someone straight up shoots you down, its likely to be their problem not yours.

Tip of the day: remember they don't know how bad you are for them, don't make that decision for them. they can find it out on their own.

If you managed to do this once, then try it again. Walk up to an attractive woman, compliment her on whatever makes her attractive and something else about her, flash a wide/non-creepy smile, and continue on with your day. You'll slowly become more comfortable to just approaching women and give off a vibe of being confident and not completely shallow.

I think it would have worked great as an opener if you had said "Beautiful eyes. I'm nexxus-s." With the key being introduce yourself immediately after complimenting her.
