Honestly you could have tons of action figures and 'geeky' stuff in there and still be 100% fine as long as you own it, whatever works for you!

In my case I've got among the mass some of my dad's artwork, a stack of snowboards, multiple guitars, my fly tying setup and a gun case. I'm usually pretty clean about things. I also have a multi-shot photo studio picture of myself in ski gear that one of my friends gave to me as a gift. Girls always seem to point this out in particular and try to tease me about having pictures of myself. I just smile, jokingly agree and amplify that I'm entirely self-centered and continue on another topic.

I'm the type of guy who doesn't give a shit about "catering" to girls- my bedroom's always a mess, there's nothing special about it. I just don't really care because it's never important.

But I have a friend who always makes sure to keep shit clean and have interesting stuff in his room (and the house). He's got artwork painted right onto the walls, various little nicknacks, cheap sculptures and shit, and other things like that. He focuses specifically on making it a friendly and cool environment for the girl. He pays more for nice beds and blankets than anyone else I know.

Point is, his strategy works for him (and I definitely admire it), and mine works for me. In the future when I have my own place and have some money, I'll probably do what he does.

Edit: I should mention, I have various guitars and shit laying around my room, and posters, and standard stuff like that. I haven't played guitar in a long time, but if a girl asks about my Les Paul, I make sure to show it to her and fuck around with it a bit (what little of AC/DC and Hendrix I know). Usually it's ignored though.

I also have a dog. Dogs are awesome.

I have a loft. My bed is right next to the half wall that drops into my living room. Right below that part of the wallis where I've placed a giant bean bag cushion. If I can get a guy upstairs, I can just jump off of my bed and down a floor to the bean bag. Without fail, every time, they will hop on my bed and peer down to see if I'm alright. Then I just head upstairs and they're excited and on my bed.

Get a papasan chair from Pier 1 or something. They're seriously the best for cuddling.
