This is the ONLY Teen/Coming of age movie that showed the reality of being friendzoned. You should watch this movie and pay atention to the character of duckie and understand why he never got what he wanted.

I made the mistake of taking pop culture to heart when I was a kid, and that put me very much behind as far as my relationships with other people go.

I feel bad for the impressionable kids nowadays who have to watch stuff like Scott Pilgrim vs The World (or pretty much any movie where Michael Cera is in the lead role, to be honest).

Wow... amazingly true. Before I definitely would identify with Duckie and be cheering him on, but now I realise just how manipulative and annoying he is.
