Hb scale is a very subjective scale. This problem has been noted and solved already so the massive amount of bitching is just plain old for a community built on progress and change. So heres a scale Tucker Max proposed in his book: "i hope they serve beer in hell"--sure the guy is an asshole, but the scale works just give it a chance.

The 5 point scale:

  1. Is a person who is hit. No redeeming qualities. Bottom of the scale. E.g. ugly.
  2. Is a person who is also hit, but may have one or more redeeming qualities. E.g. ugly face, nice ass.
  3. This person is cute, but not relationship material. E.g. beta.
  4. This person who is awesome, cute, and worth an ltr. E.g. alpha.
  5. The "virtually" unattainable. This person is either famous or world-class rich as well as qualifying as an alpha.

THIS IS NOT ABOUT LOOKS: as different people have differing tastes. This is about quality of the individual, with an ultimate goal of pairing up with someone(s) who will meet your expectations.
