So I was watching travel bum (the one with Pavla) on vimeo. At some point (around 5:00 I think), he made a joke by asking Pavla to tell everyone (the audience) how she was just having wild sex with him. More likely than not, jokes like this will be met with disgust (or anything negative) which will almost be equated to just proverbially shooting yourself on the foot. My question, along what lines would you take to recover from something like that?

Just ignore and change the topic completely? Keep going along the same path as if she actually did or would want to? I know that it would be different for each person, I'm just wondering how you guys would try to recover from that scenario.

I started wondering just so I can make a better calibration since I've made some remarks in the past unintentionally that was somehow perceived by the girls as such and triggered an almost similar reaction.
