I think most of that attitude is simply psychological self-conditioning to be able to easier deal with rejection and to approach women. It's the dating equivalent of treating humans as "targets" during wartime so that the psychological ramifications of killing are easier to deal with.

Basically, for many men, women are terrifying, absolutely terrifying. As is rejection. The things you're talking about, they are crude mental tools that allow people to deal with those emotions and keep approaching.

I sure as hope it's something people will grow out of though, negative attitudes in general are bullshit.

Completely agree. I think its natural though. Many guys in pickup come from the 'im a loser, girls are the shit' mindset - and for some it can be a healthy change to switch it around for a while to get out of the shitty mindset. I think its just a step on the way to a healthy self-image that some people need.

Completely agree. Guys get so wrapped up in being "alpha" and not being seen as a "nice guy" that they end up treating girls like shit. They see it as black or white. I went through it myself years ago.

Does it work? Sure, look at dudes like Roosh. They get laid all the time but are miserable people and I guarantee the quality of women (not just their looks) is not great. No woman who values herself is going to stay with assholes like that.

It's funny when I've said that you can be incredible with women while being a gentleman and guys bash it. They don't believe you can be confident, speak your mind, stand up for yourself, and be very sexually assertive while maintaining class and respect.

The thing is, the men who do understand that end up the happiest and still get laid a ridiculous amount, with higher quality women. Like attracts like.

The guys who don't take the women they hook up with into consideration are insecure and haven't grown up. It's how you can tell a boy from a real man.
