I want to approach women but there's one main thing stopping me.. I need you guys's opinion on this.

If acne is your biggest flaw than I wouldn't worry about it too much. Some girls may be superficial about it but, even without acne, would you want to be with a superficial chick that doesn't deserve the awesomeness that is you?

Another thing you can do to get over the AA (people will probably disagree with me) is to just assume that every girl will reject you. This could allow you time to start perfecting your game. By the time you get your skin cleared up you'll be a mother-clucking P-I-M-P!

I think the acne will make you less successful than if you didn't have acne. If you let it prevent you from trying your own insecurity will have made you infinitely less successful, far beyond anything the acne could have ever done.

Your acne is what it is. The question is whether you'll adopt an attitude that maximizes your chances for success or guarantees failure.

This is no reason to refrain from approaching girls. Most people have had experiences with acne, but it will only cause insecurity if you let it.

Are you getting treatment from a general practitioner, or a specialist in dermatology? Get a dermatologist. A good one. I went to one dermatologist and he prescribed me the one thing that made my skin worse. I went to a better one, and she fixed me right up. I have rosacea, and with my current treatment, it's under control. It makes me self-conscious when I get the least bit of redness (that's what rosacea does) but that's only because I remember how horrible it was, when it was at its worst.

So definitely see a specialist. Only a dermatologist knows the current specialized treatments, and sees patients like you all day long, so they know how to manage your condition, and help you manage it.

Limiting belief... and try fixing it.

I've heard Zinc works good for curing acne. 10-25mgs per day. It also helps your body produce testosterone so should also be good for working out / sex.

I had this same problem man. I tried EVERYTHING to get rid of it. I finally just sacked up and went to the dermatologist, was completely cured in two months. Insurance or not, it'll be the best money you ever spent I promise.

I used to have pretty bad acne in high school and I used to try all sorts of creams and products to try to get rid of it with no effect, sometimes even worsening it, which would cause me to put even more stuff on my face to try to clean it. Well, I went on an extended camping/self-transformation trip for about a month and I noticed that my acne cleared up extensively with limited treatment. After doing some research and talking to a dermatologist I discovered that overuse of these products and creams can actually trigger bad acne, and that lack of use of these products can actually cause (good) natural oils to build up on your skin and help prevent breakouts. So i'd say if you're using many products at once, or many times a day, just go down to one and use it once a day. Our bodies are not designed to be dried out like these medications do, and this drying out and attempted rehydration can cause pimples. Also, seeing a dermatologist would not be a bad idea.

Is it face or body acne? I remember reading a thread on here that said if you slept with a freshly washed towel on your pillow, it almost miraculously heals acne. I think the other guys on here will also point out how approaching has to do with inner game, not how physically attractive you are.

There's lots of good methods to get rid of acne, I used to have a severe one but I took a 6 month treatment that completely dried my skin. After half a year the acne was gone and, aside from few zits here and there hasn't come back.

I'd recommend you go talk with a doctor and try to get yourself on that treatment.

I used to have what I thought was bad acne when I was younger and had hangups about it at the time. In retrospect I probably had it no worse than any other kid. I tried lots of things; facewash, prescription medicine, facewipes, drinking lots of water, aloe vera, tea tree oil....the list goes on.

The most effective thing I have found is not drinking milk. Maybe I'm ever so slightly lactose intolerant or something. I'm no nutrition expert, but I don't think it's ever harmed anyone to cut out dairy from their diet. Try it for 2-3 months just to see if it has any effect. If that fails, reintroduce it and then try cut out grain based products to see if it's gluten that's having the effect.

Or if you can't be bothered with this, try benzoyl peroxide wipes. They will absolutely nuke your skin as well as any spot causing bacteria. Maybe /r/acne has some advice.
