Hello Seddit,

I'll try and keep this brief; I'm fairly new to "the game", sort of a late bloomer, but I'm working on bettering myself. I've gotten a lot more confident lately and I've been practicing some elements of the game like talking to everyone, etc.

I was out last night for Paddy's Day, so I wasn't really out to pick up, more to get hammered because I'm Irish and that's what the day's all about. Anyway, I was on the dancefloor in a club and a few times I'd notice some cute girls dancing around me. I was with a female friend and a bunch of her friends, kinda dancing with their group.

Why I'm posting is because I want to know what sort of signs that a girl would be giving if she wants to dance with me. A few times last night a girl would be dancing beside me or behind me and it kind of felt like she was waiting around on me to make a move, then eventually they'd give up I guess, and move on. Being that I'm not the most confident dancer in the world, I've never closed on a girl on the dancefloor unless I was talking with her beforehand and led her on there. If a girl was dancing in front of me I could pick up the signals, but if they're to my side or dancing with their backs to me I don't really know what I'm looking for. I don't want to come over and make a move if they're just having fun with a friend or something and I then come across as a creep, then look like a chode in front of my friends afterwards.

So has anyone got any pointers on what I should be looking for? There've been times in the past where I've been dancing and something similar would happen and a buddy would tell me after that the girl did want to dance with me, but I've been oblivious to the signs. It's not really my scene but I'd like to feel like I'm not missing out on potential opportunities due to my cluelessness.
