I'm going to try to keep this one short, but it's helped me learn a lot, and has helped me learn to accept things as they are.

I initially message this girl on OKC and get this respond back from her:: "hey, I actually started seeing someone. But maybe we can talk in the future?". I respond saying that it's bad timing, but decide to give her my number anyways.

Two weeks later, she texts me and we set up a date for 3 days later. I completely set up the date and take her to this cool rooftop bar. We both have some whiskey and ginger, and then decide to share a beer. She was being indecisive about which beer to get, so I ask the bartender if she can have a sample of one since she's being picky. She laughs and is pretty impressed by this, and says she had no idea that you could ask for samples.

Anyways, our chemistry is through the roof, and we chat non stop for 2 hours. She kept saying that she probably had to leave to get home to study, but never takes initiative to leave. After our beer, I end up paying for our drinks, and she offers to get me next time.

We walk to the metro together and my train is immediately pulling up. I feel rushed and we say our goodbyes and i give her a big hug. In retrospect I think I should have waited for her train to arrive, and probably should have went for a K-close. But at this point I was positive we'd have a second date, so I wasn't too worried. Oh well, she tells me to text her.

Two hours later I ask if she made it home alright. She says "yep! I had a great time tonight, thanks for the drinks!". I respond saying I had fun too, and that we should do it again soon. (no response).

We liked a lot of similar bands/artists, so so three days later I ask her if she wanted to come see my friends band play in two days, and how they were really good live.
She responds saying: "sure!! that sounds like a lot of fun". Awesome, second date.

Come the day of the date, I tell her the plan, where/when to meet me and everything. She responds, out of fucking nowhere: "ahh so my ex and I decided we're going to try to get back together. I'm sorry I know this is shitty timing."

I respond: "that's really too bad, I was looking forward to getting to know you. Good luck with everything,"

Her: "Thanks!"

And on to the next one!
