Extended texting game before having a first date; how to do it?

You've made plans--it's still on. You should never text unless you have to; here's why:

Text game is basically a chess game that plays move by move, tit for tat. Anyone who's been doing the seduction thing for a while can attest to the fact that a single wrong step in the early stages of a new communication will hang you and have a girl flake, reject you, or straight up say no. The same rule still applies to a lesser extent the farther in you get until you're basically in rapport the moment you start communicating with someone (usually friends, people you've fucked a few times, etc.)--but with this girl, you're not. More reasons not to text: it's very difficult to build attraction over text with words, and if you're going to monopolize on built attraction, you should be doing it in person rather than letting it fizzle out. It's always better to leave your status ambiguous but positive rather than obviously positive and sexual--and giving her a chance to decide she's not really into it. Text is a cold medium, and it won't treat you well for doing warm things (and you're constrained to the speed of the text, weird things like phones dying, girls forgetting to respond, etc...).

In your situation, I would say don't text her--wait a few days and then call her. Have a rapport-building conversation, hope her vacation is going well, flirt, etc. The purpose of this should be to reinforce the date you guys are having, as well as to build attraction in a real way with the powerful nonverbals we can convey through voice. Like I said in your last post, you're still good. A lot of people say that attraction fades over time--this is true, but applies over the function of weeks, not days. In short times, attraction tends to build and plateau in excitement for the next interaction, provided that all previous ones were good--and it still seems like the next one is coming. In any case, you're good; hope you have a blast on your date.

As much as girls hate the text game and the short answers it does keep us interested...but guys heed my warning and don't do it too much or she'll start to get pissed off. You have to keep a balance of two word answers and answers under 70 characters.

If you tell her you are going to text her then you need to text her..this will show her you are reliable and follow through...don't be a dick and tell her you are gonna text her then fucking ignore her and fuck with her head that way in the first place. It's a chess movie and it works but it's still a dick move.

you should never talk through a phone unless its planning to hang out. Don't give away your conversation before having it. That's how people run out of things to say.
