My friend was a little late meeting me at the bar tonight. The place was busy, and I didn't know anyone. I ordered a drink and grabbed an open seat at the bar. I wasn't really looking to sarge, but I wasn't shy with my eye contact either. A pair of girls, Hb 7 and hb 7.5 were deciding who was going to pay for their round as they ordered a drink over my shoulder. I jumped into their conversation, informing the girl who friend didn't let her pay that she could buy me a drink if it made her feel better, they both got a kick out of that. We exchanged small talk for a few minutes, I made them laugh a few more times, and they lingered after they got their drinks. I didn't advance the conversation or escalate, and after a pause they went Kb their way. I definitely had the feeling they were open to me further engaging them, but I didn't pursue.

Shortly after, another girl (hb 6) kneeled on the bar stool next to me trying to catch the bartenders eye. I called her out for being ridiculous, and we started talking. Jokes and puns led into the typical getting to know you small talk. She stayed even after the bartender have her the drinks she had ordered. This surprised me, because her friends drink just sat their in the bar for 20 min until her friend came to retrieve it. The conversation progressed well, I inserted negs and light humor, yet the conversation flowed and felt natural. I didnt use much kino, just a few hand/arm/shoulder touches for emphasis, which she reciprocated. My friend then text me saying my group was at another bar down the street. I ordered another drink, enjoying the banter. After I finished it, I informed her that she had two options, I handed her my phone, telling her she could add her number or slap me, but either way I was going to be in my way. I called her immediately, then complained that I couldn't hear her because she was in a bar. I gave her a hug, told her I'd give her a shout next time I was in town, and went on my way.

An hour later, I shot her a text saying that the friend who had kept me waiting had now gone home for the night. She invited me over to the club she had moved to. I declined, telling her that she was clearly disappointed, but that she'd have to wait until next time.

I found this interaction significant because her friends drink which she had ordered sat on the bar between us the entire time, when the bar tender gave her the drinks, I'd assumed she'd leave, having a drink th deliver, but she stayed another 20 min. That was a pretty clear ioi to me.
