How do I give a genuine complement.

There is a famous rule about complimenting a girl without coming across as a loser and needy. It says that you are only allowed to give a girl two compliments per interaction/date and that they have to be truly genuine.

I think that giving compliments is like buying drinks for girls. Most guys do it because they don't know what else to do. And for most hot girls, it translates as "he thinks I am hot and I can probably get him to do what I want...loser".

But, if you really really think something she said or did was cool, then compliment her.

However, I would never open with a compliment. How have your results been? edit: grammar

By being genuinely interested in people you will find ways to give them genuine compliments. Timing is key here, if you get good at conversation you will find stuff to compliment. Telling a girl you think she is cute/dresses well/gorgeous is fine - but those are all external compliments that take very little effort on your part to recognize. Be that as it may, they are still good compliments if you deliver them sincerely. But if you're trying to find the good shit, you are going to have to get to know her a little bit, and in doing so, make her EARN the compliment.
