This might be the wrong subreddit to ask this. If so, the mods can just delete this (but read the content before you do, please!).

Anyway, I'll try and make this as short as possible. At this moment in time, I don't really want a girlfriend. This is for many different reasons, but I've concluded now's not the time.

That being said, I've been having trouble with women in general. I noticed that my few best friends are all guys, and that I wasn't venturing outside my comfort zone. So, lo and behold, I started talking to new people (both guys and girls though). I talk to a good amount of people, and those that I click with, I keep talking to.

However, whenever I try and formulate and refine a relationship (or a friendship technically) with a girl I feel like I'm annoying her. It may be my low self-confidence, but that's how I feel. I always start conversations with them, and though they seem like they "don't mind talking to me" (in the words of one of my female friends). They never start a conversation with me. I always ask to hang out (or tell, technically) and make all the plans.

Here's a couple of specific questions you can use to answer this. Is this a bad thing? Should I be worried? Am I spending too much time and effort on woman friends? If people don't ever ask to talk or hang out or start conversations (online, that is), should I just stop talking to them so often? How do I stop being so worried about my relationships with women and just have fun and act natural, while at the same time getting them to appreciate and like me?

Thanks!
