Are any of you non-dancers? Do you still go to clubs to pick up girls?

I used to hate dancing. It essentially boiled down to a self-confidence issue. Whenever I went out and didn't dance, I always got such negative attention. It made me want to dance even less. I didn't understand it for awhile, but after becoming more comfortable with myself after I changed what I didn't like, I started to really enjoy dancing. I do it a lot and it just screams confidence. Approaching people on the dance floor is easy as hell if you're out there whooping it up, and people will feel comfortable approaching you.

It doesn't matter what you're doing as long as you're relaxed and comfortable doing it. At first, you may not be, but you can fake it till you make it. Close your eyes, listen to the music and ignore everyone around you.

I'm not saying you haveto dance to pick up women in a club, but just lurking around and sippin' a drink can tend to give off the wrong kind of vibe.

As a non-dancer, I sure as hell don't go to clubs to dance and for conversation.

But even as a non-dancer, I at least make an effort.

I like dancing, but I want space. I actually prefer dancing with my own bubble because I get so in to the music.

I am only just starting to go to clubs but I noticed that the ones who were "dancing" weren't really dancing just moving there body. So basically it just boils down to moving your body with the music and putting on a show making it look like your having fun, not learning any real dancing technique (unless you go to a salsa club or something formal)

I've only been on here for a few months, so take this with a grain of salt, but I never used to dance and it had negative effects. The more you dance the better you get, but in the meantime, use the fact that you cant dance to your advantage. I 'danced' with this girl last saturday and after a bit of escalating got her number. Texted her later the next day, she made a joke about putting me down as "MrPafofPaper cant dance" in her phone and I replied with something about her giving me lessons. Point is, I cant dance, but acknowledging it and STILL going on that dance floor shows confidence.

Dancing, like anything else, you will get better with practice and experience. But pretty much move to the beat, and the main thing to remember is that nobody is really paying as much attention to your dancing as you are so don't stress out about it.
