Also, you need to know what you want out of life, find your values, and this will help you find good friends and vice-versa.

A strong reality and a strong sense of identity aren't the same thing, but you'll develop one with the other. Strong identity is your assurance in yourself, strong reality is your assurance in the world around around: A strong ground is what is between a strong identity and a strong reality. Be well-grounded.

They're certainly not the same thing, but many people in Western culture see the two as correlated: those with strong identities experience the strongest realities. While this may be true, keep in mind that it works for the good and the bad.

"Strong" can be a bit misleading. A clear, honest conception of who you are and who you want to be will light the way to becoming your ideal self. On the flip side, a deep-rooted, stubborn, or unrealistic identity can block that path entirely. Therefore I would advocate an authentic sense of identity over a strong one.

As for reality: keep in mind that we're on extremely subjective turf here. I find that the shortest path to a "strong reality" is novel and rewarding experiences. Seeking those out is entirely up to you. You might find that your most vivid moments occur when you are most sure of your self (identity). However, don't cling to your identity for the sake of maintaining reality. Letting go of yourself can lead to an exceptionally stronger sense of being, as well as an improved self.
