Im mainly making a point with how I dress. I dress well. I have a stylish hair cut. I wear nice fitting clothing that flatter me. nicer brands like Armani and J crew. but heres the kicker its not me.
If i dressed the way i truly wanted too id have a viking beard. wear a lot of black. and have an "alternative wardrobe". i know some of you guys are reading this like who the fuck is this guy. but i'm a man child mostly child.
a year or two ago i dressed more like i just described and people were very intimidated by me im a large athletic guy so that look was frighting. despite my friendly outgoing nature. people were scared when they first saw me. especially women.
so i cleaned up my act and i look like a more "normal" member of society. I do exponentially better with women. But I do not feel like my self.
I am looking for insight on how to weigh the pros and cons of feeling untrue to myself while enjoying the perks of a more acceptable appearance.
it is weird because dressing "better" has helped me over all but i feel like it sort of hurts my inner game and i feel Phony
maybe advice on how could blur the line?
TLDR: Conforming my style to be more approachable/less intimidating has improved my social interactions. but i don't feel like i am being true to my self and it is hurting my inner game.
