You don't have to eat a plate of shit just because someone offers it to you.

I'm a skilled fighter who has been in street fights. But there's no reason to get involved in a fight unless there's a genuine threat to personal safety. If a dude just offers me a fight, I'll tell him that he's tougher then me, and that he's already won.

"No way man, you'd kick my ass. You are a better, harder man then me. I'm totally sorry for offending you. You win."

If a woman sees you getting into a fight because you couldn't control your emotions or your ego, do you think that she will respect you? Do you think that she'll feel good about being around you? She might even conclude that you are a liability to her security.

So, I went and read the post you just linked to. OP got manipulated into a fight. Someone offered him a plate of shit and he ate it.

The kind of guys who start fights with strangers look for weakness like this.

They have been doing it for a long time. Maybe since childhood. They are very good at it. (I grew up with guys like this, and spent time in prison with guys like this). They look for people weak enough for them to physically dominate, and weak enough to be psychologically cornered into a fight. Sometimes they are skilled fighters. But because they are deeply conversant with violence, they also understand that their own pure violent aggression will help them to destroy a guy who has been doing martial arts for years, but isn't used to real violence.

Men like this exploit your movie-fuelled fantasies of becoming the hero. They are often smart enough to even cover their legal bases: They will offer you a fight, instead of just attacking you.

Be immovable, but not aggressive. Defend yourself, but do not attack. It's the most intimidating yet respected thing you can do.

Source: I know only a little ju-jitsu and have never been in a real fight.

Square up from a distance and then drop your pants. It will shock the hell out of the other guy!

Or you can do what I do. Either you or your wing go to the opposing group and confidently and calmly explain that this will not end well for either side as neither of you want to spend the night in the think tank over something stupid. Most guys don't actually want to fight so if you give the other side a reason to walk away while saving face they are normally going to take that opportunity.

In my case i have been in about 20 street fights. And ive only lost once. Not proud of it because i think fighting is trashy. It has never been the case where a girl has been with me. If i had a girl with me i would not fight. I dont care if the girl doesnt like it. However if the guy didnt leave me alone and came towards me i would defend myself. Im not an MMA fighter but i do have a bit of boxing experience.
