I have a pirated copy of TTOB and to me, as a chick, it didn't seem very comprehensive, so I guess it falls into the category of a "light read". After the third chapter I was like "Okay, women like confidence, I get it already............." I was kind of bored with it, honestly.

Books that I see talked about a lot on this subreddit are How to Win Friends and Influence People and No More Mr Nice Guy. I would give those a shot before TTOB.

If you are talking strictly about books, I would try and start with improving yourself first, and then focusing on seduction. This is the order I would go in.

1: No More Mr. Nice Guy. This book has entirely changed my life. I'm in a similar position to you (I'm 22) and this book made me look at my entire self and change. Reading this first breaks you down and makes it easier to "reassemble" yourself with the next few books.

2: Rules of the Game. Go through the Stylelife challenge while you read these.

3: The Game: Besides being a fun read, the book is a great way of showing you that everything you are trying is possible and that you too can become a god of seduction.

4: Influence: The Power of Persuasion and What Every BODY is Saying: Whichever you want first.

5: The Art of Seduction: Might as well go to the source of seduction after having read all the other books on this list.

Also, while you are reading these, just wander through seddit's top posts and whatever you want to online. Edit: damn posting format aint doin

I recommend feeling out what approach you're comfortable with. That means get a general overview of beliefs and behaviors (Mark Manson's Models) and then just go out and do a bunch of field testing to see how you generally behave. That will color in your preferences much better than reading a bunch of somebody else's ideas. From there, you'll have a better idea of where you're going. I wish I had spent more time going out when I initially got into this stuff. If you're not spending much more time in-field than reading, you're 100% wasting your time. Don't fool yourself into thinking you need to know everything before you step into the ring.

Thanks for the responses so far guys, it's much appreciated. I'll definitely adhere to the words of wisdom and feel out literature that may relate best to me and my style, but also without putting too much weight on the material because at the end of the day it's just ME who's doing all this, all situations are different etc. I think I get it :|
